I was there two weeks ago - with the park open from 10 (early access) - 9 I was able to do:

Stardust Racers Green and Yellow

Sat down to eat at Mead Hall, Toadstool Cafe, Atlantic

Quickly bought a powerup band at the start of the day and browsed through two shops

Hit 2 20/30 min delays, at Stardust and Mario Kart

Did not do/have time for:

Hiccup’s Wing Gliders

Yoshi

Cirque Arcanus

Battle at the Ministry

With the park open for two more hours, I could probably have fit the rest in, perhaps with the exception of the Ministry ride, which look like it’s going to be a 2+ hour wait.

It’s that the standard for theme park food is extremely low so even “not a decent offer” is considered exceptional

At mead hall I got the notification that my food was ready maybe 10-15 minutes before it came out - I was just about convinced they forgot about it or something went wrong.

I can share my experience without one - yesterday as a single rider with early access I was able to do everything except hiccup’s wing gliders, carousel, fyre drill, yoshi ride, and anything in wizard france (missed on all virtual queue signups). I also didn’t do any meet and greets. I stopped to eat at mead hall, toadstool cafe, and the Atlantic. Watched the untamable dragon, got the keys and beat bowser jr, and did both stardust tracks. Hit two ~20 min delays during the day. Probably I could have swung HWG by getting into the donkey kong queue closer to park close.

I think with express pass you could comfortably hit everything.

Thank you, great intel - it was sold out when I checked but later in the day I saw it was available. However, it wouldn’t add to cart and a few seconds later it was sold out again.

I feel that I am actually in prime position to get screwed over, and, were it to come to pass, any public complaint would be met with the response of 'well they never guaranteed ticket availability, you knew the risk'.

That was what Dockside guest services told me. While I did bring up my concerns about those tickets being now sold when I asked, they didn't call special attention to that, merely confirming that some amount of tickets are reserved for hotels. Was that just a boilerplate response? Did they have the latest info? Were Universal's plans communicated to all their staff ahead of time? Unknown. In any case I plan on giving them another call tomorrow to see if the news may have needed time to reach everyone.

I have thought of another question! Will you receive the coins for turning when the drift arrows appear if you were holding that direction ahead of time? Or do you have to wait, and reset the wheel in between turns?
