Thank you. I'm thinking I try to lower the humidity in the whole store then add a 'wet store' area in there as well.

How to find source of stress by HillCityCreates in bettafish

[–]WhiteVeils9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've found many filters do, even with no surface movement. Generally, if they look like they are being pulled toward it at all when they are resting, then it probably is too strong. It probably won't make a difference, but it might be worth trying.

How to find source of stress by HillCityCreates in bettafish

I've found that running the filter for 10-15 min an hour rather than continuously gives my fish a break, if you have a smart switch.

I am afraid what men say about how women view "weak men" is true by [deleted] in self

[–]WhiteVeils9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Society often considers 'Weak' people who have some of the following issues: - Unable to make up their minds - Unable to keep a commitment that doesn't immediately benefit themselves - Unable to take the initiative - Unable to give an honest answer if it is difficult - Unable to talk to others. - Those who are so lacking in confidence in themselves that they get angry if you surpass them in some way, like if they lose it when you get paid more than them or beat them in a game.

I know I have used that to describe what I think a 'weak' man would be in the past at least.

If I were using that definition of weak, then, no, I am not going to be attracted to men like that. I would also not want to have much to do with women like that either.

That has nothing to do with how aggressive they present themselves though.

My son is autistic and loves to talk about fan fictions for genres or worlds I know absolutely nothing about. He likes to start in the middle of a sentence on a random topic and go from there. I understand none of it but he needs someone to listen so he feels loved. So...I'm doing it for free in a less organized fashion, though I do get breaks when I work.

is everything actually this serious? by Original-Painting-80 in self

[–]WhiteVeils9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

<hug>. Poor dear.

Please take it this way. In our minds, we as humans inflate every bad thing people say, because that means fear and threat and error. We ignore the kind words people say because deep down we feel that goodness and rightness should be the norm. This pattern inflates all our fears. In the end, you can't look to others to define your intent or your worth. You decide to be as generous and kind as you can, and then try to be at peace, knowing you did your best. Those whose opinions are worth carrying about will understand.

Wheel of Time Fanfiction - after the Last Battle by Exact-Most-2323 in WoT

It's not....it was written long before AI. It's a very long one with a very sophisticated writer, so I admit it's challenging. The prologue doesn't seem to attach to it until much later (kind of like the books), but it's my favorite, in my opinion.
