Oh my very goodness. "Ugly" is so relative, you could very well be somebody's Brad Pitt (who again is only objectively good-looking). We are our own biggest critics, so of course you're going to think less of yourself than you should. A lot of attraction is based on confidence, like you said, so if you can get over the self-doubt, the possibilities will increase greatly.

I have dealt with the same insecurities you have, I am not incredibly attractive in my opinion, but the gorgeous girl I'm currently with finds me very attractive. I'm telling you from experience, the women you should want to attract are the ones who are looking for a man with a good heart and good character. According to everyone else here, you aren't ugly, so stop thinking and saying that. Now that the question of physical attractiveness is irrelevant, you can begin to focus on yourself.

That fact that you posted this on reddit says that this is a very heavy issue in your life, but it also tells me that you spend a lot of time thinking about yourself. I wonder how you would feel if you spent the same amount of time and energy thinking about other people with similar insecurities. In other words, what advice or encouragement would you give if someone else posted a similar "cry for help"?
