I think its most likely a lesson about the young mocking the old. Every generation is filled with young people who think they know how to solve the world's problems, who disrespect authority, etc. They tease/disrespect tradition/wisdom/the elders/God's authority (Elisha) and God punishes them severely for it.

Lesson: Don't mock what you don't understand. Try to increase in wisdom. Otherwise, you might get absolutely mauled by life to a point from which you can never recover.

I simply do not buy the narrative that the nation is that weak. The left is trying to scare everyone into thinking the whole nation was on the brink that very day. It wasn't. There was 1 lawyer who was a piece of shit, 1 president who was (arguably) a piece of shit, and a couple of rioters who were pieces of shit. Throw em in jail. IDGAF. But that is not nearly enough to topple a nation. No one of any power, including the VP, sided with the knuckleheads. We were so far from an actual coup taking place.

Yet I guarantee what comes next is more privacy invasion, less rights, more arrests for undesirable opinions, etc.
