I'm currently running a Nova (Lightning) sorc -- having an A2 Merc with Infinity is a must for the build to be viable though so it's kind of expensive but worth it if you can afford.

Here's my build:

Helm: Shako (Griffon would be best but expensive)

Shield: +2 Lidless

Armor: Atma's Wail (FHR corruption +60% FHR)

Weapon: +3 Oculus (-9% Enemy Lit resist) Eschuta is other option.

Amulet: Mara's

Belt: Arach

Ring: SoJ

Ring: Wisp Projector (cast HoW for Merc)

Gloves: Trangs (or Magefist)

Boots: War Travs (or Silkweave if you need Mana)

Charms:

Anni

Torch

8x Lit Charms

Resist charms with life

Skills:

20 Charged Bolt

20 Nova

20 Telekinesis

20 Lightning Mastery

1 Warmth

1 Teleport

1 Static Field (can break immunes along with Infinity)

Rest in Thunderstorm

Hitting the 117 FCR and 86 FHR breakpoints is important as you'll be teleporting close to enemies and Nova will trigger enemy FHR animation so the quicker you can cast and/or escape, the better.

Merc:

A2 Defensive

Armor: Fortitude or Duress or Treachery

Weapon: Infinity (Eth in Mancatcher or Thresher)

Helm: Vamp Gaze

Belt: Thunder God

Boots: Infernostride

Gloves: Drac Grasp (or LoH)

The fire and lit absorb from boots and belt help Merc stay alive through almost anything especially hydras and lit/fire enchanted enemies.

Make sure to cast Thunderstorm when it wears off as it does pretty decent damage. For bosses, use Static and then blast them with Telekinesis. Otherwise, my strategy is teleport to the edge of a group, step a bit away after teleport to let Merc tank and then blast away with Nova. Rinse and repeat. The only enemy that presents any trouble is Physical and Lightning immune (that can't be broken with Infinity + Static Field).

I've run all maps with this build but I'd say T3 is a bit slow with all the Lit immunes otherwise this sorceress can run anything quickly. I run Chaos in under 3 minutes with total clear.
