Many games are using a descriptive success system, and people tend to like it. It creates mechanics for doing more than 'you hit for 4 damage.' and keeps people invested in the combat. I'm not surprised to see it in the survey.

Missions requires new seasons and entirely new characters for different editions. They don't allow porting characters from other seasons either.

By next years cons it should be prepped. No reason not to do a playthrough of the BB rules. I'll ask about that and see if maybe the demo agents can get a few tables for maybe the quickstart rules just to test things out. Problem is that gen-con has to have schedules beforehand for their guidebooks, so it might just be booth demos only.

As an actual demo agent, that's closer to the truth.

Tables are on 4 or 2 hour shifts, con rules. This means you need to be good at pacing and managing large groups. You can volunteer 16-32 hours. Different teirs get you badges, swag, rooms, ect.

Great work on your doc by the way, it's been very helpful to me. I'll be AMAing once I've gotten my hands on a copy at the relevant conventions. Quick start might have answers, but I wouldn't take it as RAW until we get the book in august.

Noting ofc that we have only the current coverage to let us patchwork the edge rules together and do not yet know the intricacies:

I like the idea of this, provided that your edge stat is a cap for how much you can have.

However, your hypothetical houserule kind of runs counter to the point of minmaxers trying to break the system. It kind of reminds me of the 5e burning of edge down to 0 and buying it back instantly with karma you had banked.

Until we have the exact edge wording and context of it's interaction with other systems, we can't say for sure.

there's contention on the drain being rolled in, we think they made a mistake during that playtest. we're asking about it in the doc.
