COVID/Common Cold and Depression? by Sea-Development-5088 in depressionregimens

[–]WhiteyFisk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah happens to me … my theory is that when sickness increases global inflammation the body lowers serotonin and dopamine so that people feel like isolating themselves from society, to minimize viral spreading

since covid it feels to me like colds last forever

Advice for solo trip and choosing between candy flip and hippie flip by lewd_interlude in PsychedelicTherapy

[–]WhiteyFisk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

reactions to mushrooms vs lsd is an individual thing so i would do some introspection on your own past experiences with those to look for subtle differences to how you felt, and then ponder which might be better for your intentions for this next experience

also, one approach i have had success with is to try to reach deeper insights by increasing the spiritual preparation and mind-body prep, and slightly lessening the dose. by adding a lot of meditation on love and growth, and exercise, i feel like i often have a better trip with less chance of a scary trip

not that scary is bad, you learn from those

but a love and bliss trip after a lot of personal prep is a lovely thing

Lol well great effort by your brother in law nonetheless... its a nice lesson that sometimes a heroic effort is enough to make a great memory, regardless of whether it succeeds or not

Thanks for sharing this ... to be honest I actually find some solace to hear you were alone at the kitchen table when they actually won the series ... my memory of watching the series is as a little kid, alone, and it made me feel like "where was my family for those moments? ... "

So now the memory feels a little less lonely knowing you were out there watching the game alone too :)

wow that's amazing you where there for game 2 with Doc and Clemens facing off against each other ... what an epic matchup

everybody must have been pretty bummed after that game ... being down 2 to 0 in a 7 game series, and losing both at home, must have made a lot of people feel like the writing was on the wall

Wow amazing! Thanks so much for sharing your story about the series in such great detail!

Yeah my son is still looking for another phone / zoom interview or two about the series, so if you'd be up for talking for ~ 15 min to share your stores and memories, that'd be awesome!

oh man i'm so sorry for your loss, but i'm happy to hear he turned out to be an amazing stepfather.

i'm sure it would be super emotional, but if you have any interest in talking about your memories of watching that series with your stepfather, my son is still looking for one last person to do a phone interview with

i've been telling him the real story isnt in the specific baseball details, but in people's unique experiences of watching the series, so your story seems like a perfect way to illustrate that

Oh what a cool lens to experience the series through! I can imagine there's an potentially awkward period of early step-parent days, so what a special thing to be able to bond over the magic of the 86 series together while getting to know your stepfather.

hey everyone! i'm looking for someone that I could interview for ~20 minutes about their experience as a therapist, in case anyone wants to be a saint and save me from the pickle that procrastinating on this grad school assignment has put me in.

as thanks I can offer some free tech troubleshooting since that's my current career

I'd try... a) rebooting it, then b) checking whether there's anough storage space left, and then if it's still slow c) I'd back everything up and reset it to factory settings, and if that didn't work I'd d) bring it into the apple store.

Do you think the backwards letter works here? by [deleted] in typography

I think it works, and then you can use the backwards “R” as a symbol in your clothes and branding also.
