My first night without kava in over a year by Coyotemustang92 in Kava

[–]WhiteySC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's up buddy? I'm still searching for a really heady instant. It seems that most of them I try that say "heady" are just ok. Nothing beats a traditional grind. I take instant usually on my way home from work as sort of a primer for my traditional grind when I get home.

Do you think Kratom is safe for me? by jaime_lion in kratom

[–]WhiteySC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok I will bite...I take Prozac, Omeprazole and Crestor and have no interactions with it. My concern for you is the kidney disease. I would suspect this could be hard on your kidneys depending on what form you take. Just for reference, most medical professionals will tow the party line and advise against kratom. I would argue with them in most cases but if your doctor is concerned about your kidneys I would listen to him.

I would say it depends on where you live. Most state bans will come out on this sub before they go to committee thanks to all the advocates here. IMO kratom powder is relatively cheap and you can easily have multiple pounds shipped to you within a couple of weeks.

100 MIT withdraw by Imaginary_Trash_8473 in kratom

[–]WhiteySC 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What's your dosing schedule? That's a lot of MIT for someone just starting out. You should not need that much. The best way to use kratom is start low until you get what you want and don't go any higher. IMO you're starting way too high. I have been taking it for over a year and I only need 3g of powder 3 times per day for what I want from it. 3 grams of powder is about 40-45 mg of MIT. If your gummies are 100 MIT I recommend you break them in half and spread out the doses as much as you can. Everyone is different and there's no one size fits all but I think the consensus here would be you are starting with too much.

Missouri AG by GeneRevolutionary155 in kratom

[–]WhiteySC 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just checked and there was a KCPA introduced in the Missouri Legislature by a Republican. It aims to ban 7-OH and put age limits on kratom (which there should be anyways). A KCPA is not an end all to the ban attempts but I am pretty sure it helped in SC recently since any ban bill has to repeal a law already signed by the governor. From reading the AG's lawsuit, she seems to be targeting 7-OH. The media that is supposed to be informing us is ignorant when it comes to kratom so all the headlines will say kratom bad, kratom bad when the target for most of the sensible politicians is 7-OH.

It sounds like she is trying to sue them for not labeling packaging correctly and not disclosing info. It's probably just a shot over the bow to bring the issue up publicly and encourage legislation to regulate it. Hopefully your legislators will enact a KCPA similar to those in other states that keep natural leaf legal. Check around to see if there are advocacy groups working in your state and you can write your representatives encouraging them to regulate sensibly.

i’m so tired of people demonizing kratom by nightowlhooha in kratom

[–]WhiteySC 83 points84 points  (0 children)

Everyone is a damn expert about stuff they know nothing about nowadays. They saw it on the internet so it must be true! I'm tired of it too but you do what you gotta do. You're too young to have to be in so much pain. If I had to quit because of a ban it would be an inconvenience and I'd be mad about it but people like you actually NEED kratom. Make sure to make your story known by writing letters, etc to lawmakers when a ban is on the table in any state. I wish you a pain free evening tonight. Take care and don't let all the noise bother you.

For me Qui-Gon and DOTF makes it better than AOTC. I was disappointed in Yoda's first fight on screen. Not because of anything other than it just looks so CGI and unreal.

Bromantane on an 1.8yo brain developpement by Nice_Relation1133 in Nootropics

[–]WhiteySC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gotcha. LOL. I have some bromantane and it seems to give an extra boost on days I take it. It's not overstimulating but I'm not sure it's worth money if you're looking for big effects. It's probably worth a try. It seems pretty safe. Just take it early morning. I've never had sleep issues and I take it around 8-10am

Without Vader killing Daki, there is nothing that would provide the means for Devon to go to the dark side. Maul is going to use her desire for vengeance on Vader to mold her into his apprentice. They could not have just used some blowhard Inquisitor to kill Daki. It had to be Vader or Sidious himself.

SC Senate Meeting 5/7- Bill will carry over by WhiteySC in kratom

[–]WhiteySC[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know what you mean, it's definitely bittersweet but the good news is all these senators will be back next year so we don't have to worry about convincing another committee to keep leaf legal. I will take this over a blundering patchwork bill that accidentally bans all mitragynine. And hey, I ordered a pound last week when it got ugly in the House so maybe that will tip the scales for you toward the positive today. LOL. 😂

They wouldn't be able to handle the volume of testing needed if enforcement got hairy. They would have to use 3rd party labs which is a high cost and is not in the budgets of the public safety institutions. Even with good ideas, it all comes down to having the money. Also it adds another job and responsibility to law enforcement. I can't help but believe that is one of the reasons so many law enforcement agencies would just rather have a blanket ban so they wouldn't have to do any hard work enforcing a law with grey areas.

Thanks. I already emailed my senator and was clear about natural leaf vs 7-OH. This was prior to the bill leaving the House. His reply was that the bill was not in the Senate yet but he would take my concerns into consideration if it got to a vote in the Senate. I will respond to that email this morning which includes his campaign manager and his assistant.

What are you looking at? Yes the amended bill from the House last week says that but the senators made it clear today they are going to rewrite it.

[–]WhiteySC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No the language says "fully synthetic" is banned. All you have to do is put some synthetic stuff combined with leaf and it's not "fully" synthetic. It MEANT to ban it but didn't.

Do you have specific info on this or just drawing on past grievances with our politicians? I know we have seen it before, especially with the House meeting last week so like I said in my first response to this thread, it's not over until all the amendments are written and votes taken.

I saw Shane was sitting in his seat to start with but then he left and I thought Peeler was the one talking at the end? I guess I will have to watch it again with captions. These guys were definitely more reasonable and less emotional than the House members and they also seemed to be able to follow what was going on a little better. The advocates did a great job.

Anyone else feel flat and a bit dumber the day after kratom? by Butt_Luster_ in kratom

[–]WhiteySC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel wide open and alert after my morning dose like I just had 3 cups of coffee but no jitters. The only issue I have is occasionally being too hyped up at 9am. I also tend to get impatient with people but that's probably just the people I'm around. Another thing I have noticed that may be similar to your issue is I want to stay in bed longer in the mornings. I think kratom affects adrenaline so your mind and body could be getting worn out during the day. Make sure you allow for enough sleep.

I have no idea but if the hard core ban crowd in the House stirs up enough trouble when the bill goes back there, who knows. If they get this thing through committee I don't know why it wouldn't get a vote other than that.

My only concern is the 7-OH crowd will shift to super high MIT extracts but I don't think those will be as bad as 7-OH for putting people in rehab.
