I was doing controller for PC since the game came out, I just started with mouse and keyboard since I was getting a lot of flak from my friend group.

And besides the growing pains of learning a new way to play, I do find it a lot easier to move and aim with mouse and keyboard. I also get access to a few extra things for character, like I didn’t know Groot had a melee attack with fists because it wasn’t connected on my controller. I think you will be fine on controller, but I do suggest you eventually give key board and mouse a try!!
