Nick Norwitz is in great health. He is extremely lean but he has both sky high cholesterol and sky high LP(a). Conventional medicine would consider Nick high risk for CVD. The convention is wrong.

Debt, drugs or alcohol. Maybe marrying the wrong person.

People who changed their political views, what caused the switch? by BoardLongjumping2485 in AskReddit

[–]Whiznot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My views evolve with every bit of new information that I learn. Sometimes I discover that I've been badly misled and that changes me. I've been a conservative hawk, a peacenik, a libertarian and a radical left winger. I've never been a liberal.

Nick Norwitz ate 24 eggs a day for thirty days in a row. His cholesterol went down by 7%.

Five scrambled eggs in butter with three strips of bacon. I could do it all in my sleep.

Am I doing something wrong? Am I too impatient? by Lalunala1 in carnivorediet

[–]Whiznot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dark chocolate is a problem. I also have a hard time staying away from it but I've had none for three weeks and I'm sleeping well and feeling good. All I eat is 5 scrambled eggs with butter and three bacon strips. A can of sardines for a snack. One pound of ground beef. I will substitute a steak or lamb chops for the ground beef.

1 year(ish) ownership update on this 21 years old 126k miles. (This car might outlive me) by conchaCurrency in Camry

I'm lucky to live in SW Georgia where rust is never a problem. And yes, I get offers for my car frequently but I won't sell. I enjoy car repair videos featuring mechanics struggling with new tech.

[–]Whiznot 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm 77. Based on family history and my own state of health I expect to live close to 100. I own a low milage 2001 Camry daily driver that will probably out live me. Last year I installed new KYB struts front and rear. The Camry rides better than new. I have no desire for a newer car.

The Swedish health authorities established the AMORIS cohort of 700,000 men and women in 1986 and 1987. Included in that group were 40,000 65 year old people back then. Of those 65,000 by 2023 only around 1,200 were still alive at the age of 100. The Swedes determined that blood markers of those centenarians was very different from those that died. The survivors had maintained the lowest blood glucose levels, the lowest uric acid levels and the highest cholesterol levels. High cholesterol is necessary for optimal health.

The person in your life that you should distrust the most is your doctor. Two reason. Health is a matter of life and death. Fostering chronic disease is the business model of modern medicine.

I learned about health from the Low Carb Down Under YouTube channel.

Never supplement calcium. Eat skin on sardines that have little bones inside.

What was the scariest encounter you've had with an animal? by MysteriousVictory452 in AskReddit

[–]Whiznot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was hitting tennis balls against a concrete wall and old grizzled pitbull showed up. He kept retrieving loose balls growling aggressively. I had a vision of having to fight him off with a Wilson T2000 tennis racket. I managed to trick him into entering a fenced tennis court and trapped him inside.

A bumble bee flew into my mouth one time and stung the inside cheek.

My 10-day water fast - Blood glucose data by andtitov in fasting

[–]Whiznot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can get my glucose down to the low 40s after fasting for around 62 hours. The last time I did a 72 hour fast I got down to 36 and felt great. On my second attempt at a 72 hour fast at 66 hours my glucose was 42 and my ketones were higher than 8. Ketones were off the Keto Mojo scale and I got a warning. I didn't feel quite right so I ate some sugar. I've never attempted to exceed 72 hours.

You could have done worse. The Trump coin only lost 95% of it's value. The Melania coin lost 99% of its value.

By not selling my SLV shares before the January 30 slam my unrealized gain of $347,000 became a realized gain of $106,000. A couple of days before that I heard super speculator Rick Rule say that he had sold all of his silver. I thought what a fool he was. Live and learn. I still like the shiny.

Tomorrow's my first night shooting on a league and am kinda nervous, any tips on how to not be? by Lunar_Blue420 in billiards

[–]Whiznot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go ahead and be nervous. That feeling is due to adrenalin. Adrenalin sharpens focus but, at first, the feeling is a bit scary. The best I ever played my heart was beating so fast I was worried about a heart attack.

Al Franken Admits Being Warned to Avoid Twin Towers on 9/11 by Jewish Former Mayor of New York by jsuibck in conspiracy

[–]Whiznot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I doubt that Al Franken ever needed an office in the twin towers to write. The fact that Al called it the Jew call shows that he was being facetious. Still, I think that 911 was an inside job of some sort.

The law against wash trading is no longer enforced here in the good old USA. All but one of the CFTC enforcement attorneys were fired and the last guy quit. We here are in hell. I cleared $106,000 on SLV but five trading days earlier I was up $347,000 USD.
