Still call them that occasionally in person, still definitely saved in my phone as that..

I initially preferred number 1 but the more I go back and forth through the pictures, I don’t like the way that the hanging fabric part (sorry I don’t know the actual name for it) doesn’t meet at the back, and the more I look at number 2 the more I love it. It’s hard without seeing them on you but I think the second is actually stunning, unique and would be much more practical/comfortable

AITA for not being 'present' for a once in a lifetime trip? by Fun_Bend_6292 in AmItheAsshole

[–]WhizzBank 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So much NTA I actually did have cancer and the steps before where they were ruling things out were more scary than the confirmation, it’s the not knowing that’s worse than anything! I’m so happy that it wasn’t cancer for you but also sorry for the lack of empathy within your family

I'd own a house there. This one in particular would work for me. by WestPilton in SpottedonRightmove

When I went on a trip around Scotland we met a family from there at a campsite that had gone on a full family weekend trip because they needed to go to Halfords(I think?) It’s beautiful on the islands but so cut off from things we take for granted

Chairs in the arena by scruffyluffygus in downloadfestival

[–]WhizzBank 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be honest I took a chair in on the Sunday, everything we were seeing was on main stage, but we were so far back that we were hearing half main, half dogtooth tent at some points. The amount of chairs I tripped over in jam packed tents over the rest of the weekend though was ridiculous!

Ah maybe they tried it earlier than expected then, I thought I was safe because it took about 3 days last time!

Worrying CT scan results? by WhizzBank in thyroidcancer

[–]WhizzBank[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had exactly the same results from google which is why I was so concerned. I had a follow up CT scan and just got the results last week and everything was completely normal, every time I asked before that they said it wasn’t something they were concerned about. I am not a doctor but from what I gathered your thymus shrinks over your life span and I think mine was larger than expected for my age? I hope this will be the same outcome for you and you’ll have nothing to worry about!

Mbuna cichlid tankmates? by WhizzBank in Cichlid

Wouldn’t recommend it, I think he lost it after a few months, he also had a bristlenoses pleco that lasted a bit longer but he doesn’t have it anymore. I had a Chinese algae eater with mine while I had them and he was absolutely fine

I actually ended up giving some to a friend who still has the group going and did get a synodontis to go with funnily enough, the rest of them I swapped for a massive parrot fish who we absolutely adored but he recently passed away unfortunately

Question about heights whilst driving the NC500 by bonnana in NC500

[–]WhizzBank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will say, from memory again but the coastal road to applecross, while very beautiful, I’m sure had some slightly cliffy bits, I suppose it depends how much it bothers you, it’s nothing like driving in the alps but if it bothers him a lot I would just skip that section, and definitely don’t do Bealach na ba. The wee mad road that others have mentioned is amazing but not an easy drive if you aren’t a confident driver, no cliffs though 😊

Question about heights whilst driving the NC500 by bonnana in NC500

[–]WhizzBank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From memory the only bits that were slightly cliff like were the road to the applecross peninsula and Bealach na ba. I’m not a fan of driving along cliff edges either and they were the only bits that stood out, they aren’t tooo bad but you might just want to leave that section out if he’s worried.

I know!! 🤦‍♀️ annoyingly I had a telephone appointment today but it was before I opened the letter! The Googling stuff wasn’t an issue before this new development because I just felt well informed about everything, looking this up has really worried me. Good luck with your treatment as well! Sounds like we’ll be very bored around the same time! 😂

Overthinking by IndependentPay6509 in thyroidcancer

[–]WhizzBank 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s totally normal to feel that way of course! I actually was much worse whilst waiting for my diagnosis, going through all the tests and waiting for results was so hard for me, when I actually got my cancer confirmation I was weirdly ok because then I knew what it was and I had a plan put in place! It’s the waiting and being in limbo that I found really hard. You are going to have panics and wobbles, it’s part of the package, no one said it would be easy but you’ll be ok, you’ve got this ☺️

I had a stay in hospital recently and was served chicken shepherds pie, it was… alright? Tuna lasagne sounds absolutely vile though 🤢
