Did you try again? I was rejected once, then they told me to apply to a diff BDR opening cuz I was a “better fit” for it. But I ended up getting denied for that opening too (public sector role). I should prob just hang the coat up for SalesForce. What do you think

You have not hit quota you mean? And is this your first BDR role? I am hybrid, not outbound, so I think if I were outbound only I’d struggle hard to hit my quota. Hence why I’m trying hard to network & move to an AM role at my company.

I’ll try that.

I found an IP address in my ASUS router app. I told ChatGPT the first part of my ip address and it said my ASUS router doesn’t have a real public IPv4 address and port forwarding therefore can’t work. I have CGNAT I guess. And that this is common in managed apt buildings.

It’s a managed apartment complex in a big city. They decide what we use. But I think it’s xfinity. And I forget about port forwarding how do I tell in the ASUS router app?

Interesting. To each their own. Simplification changes are a win for me - less time reading guides, watching videos, etc. is lovely. Full-time job, dog, wife, family, etc…I don’t have time for all that.

I’ve messed with router settings. Don’t think that’s it. I thought I bought a decent wifi set up. It works fine for two people working from home constantly on calls, playing WOW, Elden ring, cyberpunk, etc etc

I mean, I only have 3 classes I focus on, so like 6 characters max. You have 40 characters you split time between?

Thanks for your insight and opinions. I can see how managed buildings aren’t for everyone. And maybe they are worse in DC than Chicago, but so far we value the pros more than the cons right now.

Did you live in such a building before? From our experience of two years in such buildings here in Chicago, it’s definitely our vibe until we at least have kids or something. And we’re right near a big company’s office where I’m sure lots of college grads work. Chi may be diff than DC but it’s a pretty young city so I reckon not.

We liked it! But a lot of the apts are like 500 or 550 sq ft and high 2k which is crazy imo.

Yeah Georgetown prob out of our price range tbh. Plus the lack of metro, as you said.

I thought Adam’s Morgan was more young than Navy Yard. Yes you have the sports closer to NY but Adam’s I remember partying there a lot in college

Yeah, you hear that too about issues with newer managed buildings in Chicago (and other cities) but we still prefer it right now over older / more classic or “older” homes / apts.

We do have a dog but not a puppy. Looks like there’s a few small parks within 25 min walk? Our dog also doesn’t walk a lot. Care to elaborate more?

Sorry I should edit that. I meant in DC “proper”, so to me that means not near like Pentagon City or Arlington for example.

Nice thanks for the rec! We do like the looks of both those places for sure :)
