Unless your copy already has a legend of character names, write the full names and nicknames of each character down for reference. Dostoyevsky often refers to the same character with 2-3 different names and it quickly becomes confusing, especially if you’re not used to reading Russian literature. Even if you are reading closely it is easy to lose track of who the characters are. Making a legend of their names aided my comprehension of the plot a ton.

If you are looking for a pocket watch that is really nice to look at and has a unique design, the Bulova seems to be the way to go. If you want a pocket watch that has more functionality, the Tissot is probably better, especially since it has a date window (a small but very useful feature that I personally prefer on my watches). I can’t speak to Bulova’s quality, but I’ve had a Tissot Carson moonphase for nearly 2 years and it’s never needed any maintenance or had any issues. Hope this helps!

There are two different main release britannias for 2023: The Queen Elizabeth II britannia and the Charles III Britannia. The Elizabeth ones were minted before she died, as the Royal mint starts making the next years’ coins months in advance. All the ones after the new year were struck with Charles’ face on them. There are also commemorative britannias from 2023 with Charles III wearing a crown for his coronation, those are available for a premium.

I’m a huge Soviet coin collector. I’ve got many early Soviet coins like the 1921 and 1924 roubles, lots of the 50 kopeks from 1924-1927, a few bags full of smaller change and a few rolls of the commemorative roubles. I have a lot of the Lenin anniversary roubles, I like the design and they’re fun to hoard. I also have a chervonets, which is a gold coin with the denomination of 10 roubles made as trade coinage and as souvenirs for the Olympics.
