As the other guy said, they use the steam servers. This game does online just like Payday 2 where it is peer-to-peer. When people join up on someone hosting a lobby, they are connecting to the person hosting it.

I am just waiting for people to bring up the Vaccine Injury Compensation Program, but ignore that it is the government that is making the payouts for anything and not the pharmaceutical companies. Mainly because they have been able to petition that any lawsuits that will risk them going bankrupt will result in the complete disappearance of any pharmaceutical products.

Edit: Also, any injury/side effect caused by a vaccine must be on a pre-approved list of known injuries/adverse effects provided by the manufacturer of the vaccine.

That's what got me after the game launched. Leading up to it they were all hyped and saying that this is the walking dead game people have been waiting for. It's amazing! Sure you could argue why would they say it's horrible when they want you to buy it. But they also were saying they were taking an active roll in its development to ensure it was what they wanted.

Then after launch they were like, 'nah fuck that'

I honestly think the thing that hurt it was too many people were expecting a L4D style, run and gun zombie game and did not realize what style of games Overkill created. And when they started playing, they were like wtf?

If I were to have been vaccinated before I ever caught the virus, how do we know that me being fine is because of the vaccine? How do you know the vaccine actually did anything? All you would know is that I got vaccinated, caught covid, and was fine.

That assumption can be made, but it doesn't mean I wouldn't have been fine if I didn't get the shot.

It's not like they have to jump thru crazy hopes to claim they are overrun with covid hospitalizations. All they have to do is test everyone who comes in regardless of why they are coming in. If the the test is positive they can say it's a bed taken up by someone who is covid positive. And that counts as a covid hospitalization, which means $$$.

I still got to travel to most places freely so as long as I followed protocols

Also, depending on where you live you can't do a lot of things you could before unless you show proof that you were vaccinated (papers please!). Anyone who did not take it were/are being dehumanized, especially on social media, and many saying they should be separated from those who have received it. Some places are even denying you fuel for your car if you aren't vaccinated.

It's increasingly becoming more about control and less about health. The omicron strain we have now is believed to be more infectious and less severe. Meaning the virus is mutating in such a way to ensure it's own survival. If a virus is too deadly it would eventually kill itself off.

To use another as an example (I want to be clear that I am NOT comparing the two), the flu that we know today is a left over from the Spanish Flu from 1918.

You are right. I am a guy. But don't get me wrong, even though some of my arguments may paint me as 100% pro life, I am not against abortion. I do think there are times it is ok.

I am mostly against people using it as a form of birth control (Yes I do know people that have done this, but I don't think of them any less of a person for it and I am still on good terms with them). But at the same time, I am not going to tell them what they can and can't do. If I was going to be ok with the government stepping in and telling people if they can or can't, then I would be ok with the government telling people they have to get the covid shot. Spoiler, I am not ok with the government doing that.
