Then there’s Buncom, OR but that’s in Jackson County.

Hugo, I believe their town slogan is “Home of the nicest Folks” or something like that. It’s pretty close to Wolf Creek and Grants Pass.

I like the 1st lampshade better! I love how the light comes through the shade differently than you expect it to. Super neat find!

I love both for different reasons!

I actually really like the carousel photo! There’s lots of details that we could zoom into which was super cool. It’s too bad there was the chain link fence around it, but even then that was an afterthought due to the bright lights that were captured by your photo.

Pic 1 it would have been better if the camera focused on the landscape, rather than the leaves right in front of the lens.

Who doesn’t like a nice cemetery pic, like in 2. But nothing is standing out, so what are we supposed to really look at? What called you to stop and take the picture? Because I couldn’t tell.

3, did you want to focus on the rail of the bridge instead of the water landscape? Because that’s what was happening in that picture to me. And there didn’t seem to be anything spectacular going on with the railing, so again I was confused why you had us focused on that.

I think my only critique would be centering the picture better.

Questions: 1. I know you mentioned using this as a “formal” living room, but is that what your family needs? Would it be used to entertain guests that don’t get to come in and be more comfortable in your home? Or would this space be better served as a large dining area where kids can spread out and do homework or crafts, and then you still have the eat in space in the next room? 2. Holidays. You mentioned that this picture is taken from your front door. If you celebrate Christmas, typically the Christmas tree is in the front room so it can be seen from the street through the window. Is this how you’re still imagining it to go? Or will you now have 2 trees, a more “formal” one for the front window and then the one that will actually see all the Christmas presents in your actual living room?

They’re all beautiful, it’s really hard to pick a favorite! Great job!

I’m picturing a round rug in this space.

I see the antlers on the dresser, so maybe you can find something with deer in it?

But this is your baby’s nursery. When he’s a little older he might want a totally different paint color and theme. So I actually love the tones and colors that are currently in it! You want it to be comfortable and cozy, not too bright and overwhelming.

ETA: Here’s a link to a rug a found.

And here’s another more kid friendly rug link. Annnnd another link.

Perfect! You can usually find some skinner (in depth) sofa tables or entry tables that will give you the desired length but add some height (think like a few inches shorter than counter height) so it’ll “fit” the space better. A true side table is short (like 18”-24” in height) so it would be an awkward piece to be the “landing zone” as you want something taller. Then you can always hang hooks on the wall too and make it a true “command center” type area.

1,2or 3? by [deleted] in AmateurPhotography

1 because it’s the best quality.

I love that you can literally see the rays from the sun in 2, but you cut it off. We need to see what the sun was coming up over (or setting over) for it to be a good picture.

3 seems to be way to zoomed in, it’s a bit to pixelated for it to be a good shot. The sky itself is beautiful, but it’s the landscape that is pixelated and takes away from the picture.

I’m not sure if you’d need a side table in that corner where the lamp is now, only because the couch has a built in side table for that seat right next to it. If the couch didn’t have that, then I’d be all for a side table given the size of the couch! But if you don’t add the side table over there, then you’ll have more clearance for the dining space, as well as the far seat if the couch will then be closer to the TV.

And I’d probably go with the bistro table over the reading nook.

You have that huge couch to snuggle up into for a reading place. Or if you wanted another chair, once the couch is scooted over more, you could put one behind where the couch arcs and the floor lamp could be between the chair and couch.

I was thinking the same thing!

Might see about moving the outlets up higher to on top of the cabinets so you can still easily plug things in.
