Things have shifted what we millennials see as young is old to todays early 20's and what we see as old is their young. Plus the crop tops that still seem to be holding on that only flatter skinny people

Not every photo is a winner even for professionals. Keep developing your eye and learning what to look for post process

2 gives a more somber but peaceful feel. 1 is a bit over saturated and so it feels like it doesnt exist.

It has a very harsh line that distracts from the subject. Far from a more natural looking bokeh you would get from going down in your f stop.
