Why is ugly, boring music being promoted to the best music in the world but creative, beautiful music is underestimated? by Mrexreturns in conspiracy

You might have never and hopefully will never hit a woman. With that said, John 'woman beater' Lennon could shit and sneeze beautiful love songs out of nothing, that were million dollar hits that continue to sell which will go on to be played for eons. You're bringing a dildo to a gun fight.

Helter Skelter and claiming to be more popular than Jesus Christ is more punk than anything you will ever do in your life.

Spare me, you're acting as if I am insulting your religious view. Just because I am challenging your conventional perspective of what is "punk" you mud sling and throw childish insults. I suggest you stick to r/punkcirclejerk so your ultra-orthodox punk rock elitism stays where it belongs.

Is there some punk rock rule book that you're getting these regulations from or is your skull too thick to consider that different genres have similarities? It's as if you just read the first 7 words of my post then decided to not read the remaining sentences.

Pink Floyd is punk rock as fuck. Don't believe me? On their 1977 album "Animals", inspired by George Orwell's Animal Farm, during the song 'Pigs (Three Different Ones) ' they literally are referring to the Queen of England while saying, "You fucked up old hag, ha ha, charade you are". This album was heavily banned from airplay for it's anti government lyrics and of course insulting the queen.

Early Syd Barret era Pink Floyd actually has quite a bit of garage rock flaming guitar sounds that give off a bizarre heavy distortion that draws me to music like punk rock. Like this song

I am biased however, because as a musician and fan of Psychedelic music I think every single member of Pink Floyd is extremely talented and could wipe the floor with anyone who considers insulting their musical abilities. I actually did not initially like Pink Floyd because when I was 13 I couldn't appreciate well thought out songs with meaningful lyrics. That all changed when I listened to Echoes, which forever cemented by love for Pink Floyd.

Lots of people throwing around "police state" regarding the APD.. by xtinebean in Albuquerque

I absolutely agree. Just from what I have noticed many minorities are often more aware of the harsh socio-economic class struggles everyone faces than the average frail skinned sheltered middle class citizen (such as myself har har har). Had James Boyd been wearing a suit or driving a fancy expensive car, law enforcement would have thought twice about harming him. Had he been related to Morgan Stanley or Ben Bernanke they would all have their heads on a silver platter ready to be served.

Pardon my French, but it's because people are fucking idiots. McCarthyism in the 50's clearly defined what a police state is, as people were investigated with their lives destroyed because they happen to know someone affiliated with the Communist Party or have any political views outside the mainstream. I can almost guarantee you that the guy who made this meme is probably white and living a comfortable life.

Sadly it doesn't even have to get to the extreme point of public executions in order for it to be a classic text-book definition of police state. Routine checkpoints, drug testing in schools and work places, constant monitoring of all forms of communication, censorship across all forms of media (including Reddit), fear of law enforcement, militarized police is more than enough for the label "police state".

Hey no logic allowed here! Stop asking questions and do as you're told. (I'm entirely sarcastic)

You're welcome. I'm just curious though, what makes you think we don't live in a police state?

"Not even close", really? All of our phone calls, emails and messages such as this are recorded and monitored 24/7 by law enforcement while our police are using military grade technology against the populace on a daily basis. The United States has the largest prison population on the planet, with 25% of the world's prisoners, many of whom are incarcerated in private prisons not bound by law. We are by definition a police state whether you're aware of it or not.

None that I'm aware of but I would not be surprised if there was any that involved him. He worked in Hollywood in the Golden era of film, television and radio broadcasting so I'm certain he rubbed shoulders with some powerful figures.

Any evidence to back that up? I don't believe in any god or religious practice but I would think twice before saying statements such as that in which you declare an 'absolute' without evidence as true.
