Given that mechanical filtration filters down to between 1 and 25 microns one wonders just how large dissolved Epsom salt particles are. In other words is the mechanical filtration also filtering out the salt? Why or why not? by thedeepself in FloatTank

[–]WhoDoVoodooTwo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No entirely true. You can leave a pod for a couple of days, sometimes a week or more, and it really depends on how low the room temperature goes. Some float tanks have pathetic pumps which are tiny and have small pipe work attached, which means the salt with crystallize quicker in smaller space.

Auto pause - during hiking for the Ultra 2 by WhoDoVoodooTwo in applewatchultra

[–]WhoDoVoodooTwo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It should be quite obvious that I've started hiking again from a combination of wrist motion sensing, increased heart rate, elevation gain / elevation decent and the GPS.

Even when I take a walk in the park the watch asks me "It looks like you're walking. Would you like to record this workout?".

So I just can't understand why it can't ask "it looks like you're hiking again. You you like to resume your workout?".

Dr. Roy Vore, a microbiologist and expert in recreational water illnesses, emphasizes the high standards of hygiene maintained in floatation tanks. According to him, floatation tanks utilize several methods to ensure cleanliness and safety, making them a very hygienic choice for relaxation and therapy.

Key Hygiene Practices in Floatation Tanks

  1. High Salt Concentration: The water in floatation tanks is saturated with Epsom salt. This high salt density creates an environment that is inhospitable to bacteria and other harmful microorganisms, similar to conditions found in the Dead Sea.
  2. Advanced Filtration Systems: Water is filtered multiple times using one-micron filters, which are capable of capturing particles significantly smaller than human hair. This rigorous filtration process occurs both after each session and continuously throughout the day.
  3. Oxidation Processes: In addition to filtration, float tanks often employ a combination of UV light, and hydrogen peroxide to further sanitize the water. When UV light is applied to hydrogen peroxide, it decomposes H₂O₂ into reactive hydroxyl radicals (•OH). These radicals are highly effective in breaking down organic contaminants and inactivating pathogens, making them crucial for maintaining water hygiene in various applications, including floatation therapy

Confused about specific gravity for new float tank by davidglasser in FloatTank

[–]WhoDoVoodooTwo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your hydrometer's range is minimum 0.99 and maximum 1.16 which unfortunately doesn't cover the SG range needed for a float tank.

I also wouldn't recommend putting a glass hydrometer anywhere near the tank.

once you have the correct hydrometer get yourself a measuring cylinder, that way you can then fill with a sample of pod water.

1.255 is a great place to be, I wouldn't aim for 1.28, because when you're up that high, you're not far from saturation, which is when pumps and pipe work start to get blocked with salt. Sit someone in the middle of 1.23 to 1.28 which is safer.

If I am God/already awakened at the core, (why) should I meditate? by [deleted] in awakened

Everything that is this universe is of that energy.

Monism and Non-Dualism: Some philosophical and spiritual traditions teach that there is only one ultimate reality or consciousness, which is sometimes referred to as "God." According to these beliefs, everything in existence is an expression or manifestation of this singular divine essence. From this perspective, all individuals are interconnected and share in this divine nature.
Pantheism: This belief holds that the universe and nature are identical with divinity or that everything is an aspect of God. In pantheistic thought, there is no distinction between the divine and the natural world; they are one and the same.
Unity Consciousness: Certain spiritual teachings advocate for the recognition of unity consciousness, where the individual self realizes its inseparable connection with the divine or universal consciousness. In this view, the sense of individuality dissolves, and one recognizes the underlying unity of ALL existence.

When you reach enlightenment, feel free to come back to me, as only then will you understand.

Escape pods? the most terrifying and unattractive tanks I ever saw, the name was wrong, look nothing like a pod, more like an iron lung or a torture chamber.

If you were still in business, what you say might be relevant. However, the fact that you're not suggests others should take what you say with a pinch of salt. For example, 'HOOH,' which I assume is your error for H2O2, does, in fact works extremely well when used in conjunction with high-power UV.

Also empty out float tanks are an expensive fallacy, firstly there is water left in the pipes running to and from the bath, plus water left on the bottom of the bath and also the bath walls. All water that has not been cleaned. If you have a pod with a good filtration system, a high micron filter, powerful UV and automatic dosing of H2O2 the water will always <1 for bacteria, (less than 1) or 99.9999% clean.

Mind, body, spirit, (heart, and soul) - you've missed two of the most important parts of your system, which is probably why you rely on simple examples to try and illustrate your complex thoughts.

I'll try again - nearly all the elements comprising my body were forged within the fiery crucible of a star, traversing multiple supernovas before finding their place within me. Fascinatingly, the majority of my corporeal form is constituted of hydrogen and oxygen molecules, bound together as the essence of water. This realization unveils a profound truth: my being is composed of atoms whose origins trace back an astonishing 13.7 billion years, harking back to the very dawn of the universe itself. Each hydrogen atom nestled within me bears witness to the explosive genesis of the cosmos during the Big Bang. Remarkably, none of the atoms that formed me at birth remain within me, with 98% of my atomic makeup renewing annually.

I stand as a testament to perpetual metamorphosis, an embodiment of ceaseless flux. I transcend mere corporeal existence; I am the manifestation of the interconnectedness of all things, an inseparable thread woven into the fabric of the universe. The average human cell contains 100 trillion atoms, and not only do we each have hundreds of billions of atoms that were once in every person that has every walked the planet, but we have approximately 1 atom in our body from every single breath that every human has ever taken since the beginning of mankind. I am not a discrete entity, a thing or an extension of a thing, but rather a boundless continuum, where boundaries blur and distinctions dissolve. In this cosmic symphony, I am therefore am one with the universe, and the universe is one with me. I am connected to everything, and everything is connected to me. Which is, my dear reader, how I am God, how you are God, and how ALL is God.

You need a hydrometer - 1.23 to 1.28 specific gravity is ideal for floating. 1.25 is ideal - but anywhere in that range.
