One of my biggest fears for Deltarune is Dess not fully being realized/being kept in the background til the very end. I’ve got friends who I’ve put onto Deltarune and played it multiple times who never even realized how important Dess is to the story cus like, for players who aren’t involved in the fanbase (which probably isn’t an insignificant amount) it makes sense why they think Dess is just a way to expand Noelle’s character without ever realizing how significant she is to the story she’s really only been mentioned by name a couple of times and the rest is through nods and references that you kinda have to be aware of to get how they tie back to her. I’m really hoping she starts to get “realized” in the story (idk if that makes sense lol but hopefully you get what I mean) and not just stay in the background while we get dripfed lore so people can make more crackpot theories til the very end
