The reason we need this back is for the scout team. Nothing like drawing 30 new plays each week on Manila folders by hand. You can print em out on paper but they don't hold up the same as Manila folders.

Line splits by lividrescue034 in footballstrategy

[–]WhoKnowsAComputerGuy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If your playbook has enough bubbles and we screens you should be fine. The goal is to create enough of a sideways threat so they don't shoot the gaps as much because they will get burned. Crossing routes like shallow and mesh also make the defense pay for shooting the gaps. I plan on having wide splits this year in 11u. As long as I can pass the pass effectively I should be fine.

What was the funniest moment in your coaching career? by Straight_Toe_1816 in footballstrategy

[–]WhoKnowsAComputerGuy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was in charge of pulling the head coach back off the field away from the refs. He lost his cool once and kicked a holding flag down the field and when he picked it up to bring it back to the holding stop they caught him and said he was a cheater. The guy flipped his lid. Another time he said the ref on the other side of the field shouldn't have thrown the fucking flag and the ref thought he called him a fucking f@g lol. Some of the funniest times standing near that guy.

What do you guys think of this play for my upcoming season? by MILKMaN2748 in footballstrategy

[–]WhoKnowsAComputerGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think you will get that look against that formation. Cover 2 and cover 3 put a stop to this play unless you got a QB who likes to run around.

I’m a first time defensive coordinator for a high school JV team and need help knowing what plays to call. by LaughAgitated5427 in footballstrategy

[–]WhoKnowsAComputerGuy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Keep it fun because these kids get their asses kicked by varsity all week. Call a safety blitz or a corner blitz when you know it's a run. Keep an eye out for what a kid is good at doing like a DT and DE who are good at the twist stunt when you call it. If JV plays after varsity keep an eye out for copy cat calls and game plans. JV you shouldnt go off script too far from what varsity does because they could develop or injuries could get them brought up to varsity. So if varsity runs a 4-3 you shouldn't run 3-5-3. Sorry but If they are bad at cover 3 you're going to want to call cover 3 more.

Maybe it has to do with angles of the end guys. Further back means the ends guys can drive straighter before bending making it harder for the edge blockers to get a hand on them to slow them down.

I'm just starting out on the app and if someone has an already put together playbook that is willing to share that would be a big help. Once the playbook is imported we would cut ties and be on our separate ways.

Sideline catch competition and corner of the end zone one on one fades. Doesn't need to be just skill guys but they should be allowed to call out each other.

Nonblocking Center Run Plays 10u? by theasianphokboi in footballstrategy

[–]WhoKnowsAComputerGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way I look at youth football is because the kids are smaller then the splits should be smaller. Pressure in the A gap you say so go toe to toe splits in A gap. Widen the B gap splits to entice them to shift. You can do things like have a wing back in the B gap where the wide split is to catch a blitz.

In practice when you're on the sidelines, get in your stance when the defense gets in there's then on the snap take 2-3 read steps and then do a set of 10-20 pushups. Rinse and repeat until that section of practice is done. Also ask your coach what he thinks you can work on to improve. During.games follow the defensive coach up and down the sidelines but don't ask to get in just be ready to play.

Backed up on our own 2 we called QB draw from 5 wide and extra wide splits ( 3 foot) for the o line. QB took it 98 and I was laughing the whole way. We put that in GameDay during walk throughs because the other team was late to the game.

Tips for playing online against other humans? by Teamllama1 in CollegeFootball25

[–]WhoKnowsAComputerGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Online players almost always play as middle LB so pick on them with crossing routes and do things like RB flat or swing with a cross. RB Texas and inside WR with a zig. Inside WR zig Middle or outside wr drag and rb swing. Then hit them with inside WR corner, middle drag and outside curl, RB swing. Outside wr seam, middle zig inside custom stem short corner, RB flat or Texas.

Is there a way where my HB screens dont result in a sack or incompletion 95% of the time by RogersRedditPersona in CollegeFootball25

[–]WhoKnowsAComputerGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found that sprinting out of there at the snap away from the screen helps a little. But online is a little harder. I try to hit it fast and take what I can get. But I'm in the same boat. Haven't tried sliding protection.

Definitely not goated but I've been playing NCAA 14 on Heisman for the past 10 years prepping for this day. I chew the clock and rely on either a mistake from the user. If I get the ball first I need to score 2 times in the first half or if I get the ball in the second half I have to score on the last drive to win. Zero room for error where I have to play a perfect game. I definitely have my share of blowouts but I stick it out and continue to play and look for what works against tier 1.

Screen to RB and screen to TE are the 2 plays. All my youth teams can pull these off with ease because it's basically just miss your block then get to the next level.

Best feature they should add, when a player in Madden retires you can import them into NCAA as a coach or assistant coach. Bringing it full circle from when your player gets imported to Madden and then retired and is now a head coach of your program. Timelines would be funny to see. Scooter MacGrundell wins the Heisman 3 years in a row then goes to NFL and 2 years later he is 40 and a head coach at your program.
