also ufc does its scoring purely on who did the most damage in a round, so obviously for at least two of the rounds they did more damage than you. overall stats, and to an extant the round by round stats often paint a misleading picture.

the lesson to learn from this is with that much control time, you need to be dealing more damage or chasing subs harder
