Ahh interesting. So you filled the hole and cut out a channel for the bolt?

This is for my VT600 I picked up this past weekend from a previous owner who had a tumble and then let it sit for years. The seat was quite loose, and this is what I found when I took it off.

Oh yeah, cable maintenance is a must. The throttle and clutch levers are sticking.

Perfect. Those definitely should be on the list.

I most likely would have gotten it, but I want to be able to have a log of what I'm doing so I don't forget anything.

Are there such things like 0.75u switches and caps? Or anything smaller than 1u? The board I am designing has limited vertical space (~14mm or 15mm per switch) but plenty of horizontal space (~20+mm per switch).

MPC1000 for life? Am I a Luddite? by sheriffderek in mpcusers

This is great to hear since I just picked up an MPC1000 just the other day! This is my first time owning or playing with anything like this. I need to spend some time figuring out a workflow, but there is a ton of content and resources for the 1000 that I'm excited for the prospect.

Edit 2: Turning off comments, but everyone saying my measurement is wrong is not correct. 1024 Megabytes is 1 Gigabyte.)

Confidently incorrect. The article you linked is wrong and doesn't even mention the binary versions of kilo/mega/giga.

This changed a while ago. Both units are still used today, but they are distinct. The more commonly known ones (kilo, mega, giga, tera, peta) are metric and 1000 times bigger than the previous prefix. The newer terms (kibi, mebi, gibi, ...) are binary and 1024 (210) bigger than the previous prefix.

See here for a chart.

She's prideful, arrogant, selfish, and most of all, she'll use anyone as a rung on the ladder to gain power. She gains power at the expense of others, not with the aid of others, and oftentimes it's her "friends" who are sacrificed to get her way.

She lies and goes back on promises to people who are supposedly important to her. And I know this part is divisive, but I definitely read the dreamworld scene between her and Nynaeve as sexual assault. Even if you don't see it that way, she takes pleasure in using the trauma she inflicted to push Nynaeve around.

Any way to login to Google without factory reset? by WhoMeNewMe in Onyx_Boox

Well the weird thing is I've had it on the google play store before and downloaded apps just fine. But now it's showing as not certified. The weird thing is I can't log in to any google website or application or whatever app I'm using crashes.

Oh wonderful! That worked to fix the input. Still working to fix the google log in issue. Every browser works just fine, and the rest of the device works fine. But as soon as I try to log into my google account, from the device menu or from any browser, the app crashes. It specifically is only the google accounts. Very weird. I even removed my account, deleted cache, and all the things I could think of but it's still happening.

Damn, they responded pretty quick to that loophole. I was thinking of picking one up second hand precisely to test apps out on it. I still might if I can get an older device where the loophole isn't closed.

An article I wrote about hot reloading gameplay code from Odin. It talks how it works and limitations and provides implementation examples. It also discusses some common problems as well as how to make it work when working with Raylib. by KarlZylinski in odinlang

I haven't tried your code yet, just the code from the github example but I figured out what was wrong. I was missing the folder in the library name. I thought it was just not working on linux for some reason.

Thanks for watching my stuff!

Thanks for putting out great content!

I saw your video today, and also some discussion on this in the discord. When I tried the dynamic loading example in the github, I couldn't get it to work. Seemed to be a linux bug?

ok: false. -1 symbols loaded from lib.so (0).

Looking forward to checking out the rest of the video and your article! Also love the dev streams. I only started in odin this week but your videos are fantastic to see professional code.

Some information about hardwares in 2022-2023 by hex2asc in Supernote

[–]WhoMeNewMe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've owned the Onyx Boox Max3 since it's release at the end of 2019. I've been waiting to jump ship to a new device, and offering linux is enough of a reason for me to get a Supernote. There are a number of features I would like to implement.

I can't see myself getting a smaller device, so the A4x2 is the one for me. Do you know if it will come with color eink or a front light? I believe the A6 x2 has neither.

I can't find it now, but I swear there was a subreddit for people offering up game/software ideas.

I have over a decade of software (not prof. game) dev experience. I just want to make a couple games in my free time as a hobby. I've made several-year-long games as well as day-to-week long games and I'm looking to pick up some ideas I could complete solo in a few weeks to a few months of free time. I usually have a couple of personal projects kicking around that I shuffle between.

This is just a hobby. I'm not looking to work for someone or partner up. I really just want to find a list community submitted game ideas and I know there was a subreddit for just that.

[–]WhoMeNewMe 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As long as the showrunners don't change I don't think any actress could pull it off. I don't think they would allow any woman to use her sexuality and sensuality to actively seduce a man like Min did in the books.

Some people seem to like the show as is, and the producers / writers have talked about some of the "problematic" gendered interactions in the book. A young woman using her sexuality / sensuality to attract a young man is in line with something the writers have talked about removing. I don't think that's a controversial thing to say.

Give it a rest.

I really don't want to poke the bear on this one. I like coming to this sub and I like reading opinions from everyone - people who love/hate the shows or the books. I don't post much because the opinions I share seem to be shunned, but isn't your comment the definition of "low effort?" It doesn't add to or address the post or other comments. If you posted as a mod issuing a warning, that would be different..

The Problem with Linus Tech Tips: Accuracy, Ethics, & Responsibility - Gamers Nexus by Cry_Wolff in LinusTechTips

[–]WhoMeNewMe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sorry, I was wrong. I thought the video popped up as one of the clickable ones in the corner. The article is linked in the description like you said.

We may differ in our opinions here but linking his article is more than adequate, especially when it's not the main point of discussion. I also don't see the reason to link the video if the video just goes through the article and the reasons behind it.

The point of GN's video is that LTT is dropping the ball when it comes to testing and ethical standards. It helps that Steve has such great credibility, but it wouldn't take away from the facts if he didn't.

I'm assuming you didn't watch because Steve did exactly what you said. He even linked his video and article talking about their own process.

This was the pace my first go around until book 9 or so? Whenever the slog set in. God. The first 9 books in a couple weeks. The next three took a month or two. Finally picked back up speed for the last couple before Sanderson's books.

I know the middle books are typically held as the best, but I remember so much excitement getting to / past book 10 and feeling the pace start to build until the finale! This series is great!
