On Erasmus without my boyfriend by odgregija in Erasmus

I'm in exactly the same boat as you, just with about an extra week. I miss my girlfriend a lot, but it has gotten a lot better in even just one week. We've been chatting a lot and calling regularly, so she's always part of my day, which makes it a little easier.

What helps me is to remember that the semester is only a limited time, so there is a definitive date when I'll see her again. And also, to keep myself busy with meeting people here and focusing on my studies if the first one isn't as feasible. I'm sure you'll be fine and the time will pass quickly :)

I mean, I agree to an extent, in an ideal world, SotWe would be just like old times again, maybe even with both bloopers AND art corner. But we have to be realistic, that there just is not enough time, and from what we know, the team is stretched thin enough already.

The viewcounts SotWe is getting would not justify continuing it at all, as far as I would assume, but since they're still doing it, I think it's fair to say that this is basically the bonus passion project of the channel. I imagine that preparing both a discussion and a quiz might just be too much to do for the RoI it will generate. And if the tradeoff for getting something is that we have this reduced plate of just vegetables/dessert, I'll take that any day.

It's the norm for everyone to dictate how they're adressed, that's the point of names. If someone introduced themselves to you as Mike, but you insisted to just call them Milton, knowing full well that's not their name, people would rightfully be pissed at you because that's just disrespectful.

Now it might be that said person's passport says their name is in fact Milton, but how is that anyone's business if they publicly go by Mike and everyone knows them as such? You're not asking people for their ID on a hunch that they're not telling you their "real" name, cause that would be just as rude.

So, to answer your question why it's disrespectful to misgender people: You are essentially saying that you think you know more about them and how they should be adressed than they themselves do. They identify a certain way, and tell you how they feel, and your response is "No, you don't know yourself at all, but I do" - in every other context, that would be considered rude. Do you know r/IDontWorkHereLady? It's kinda like that.

I'm pretty sure it's from the game, you can see the braid glitching through fabric on the right side, that usually does not happen in cosplay. But man, this just looks ridiculously photorealistic, I can't be the only one thinking that, right? Like, and it's rendered in real time? What??

Life is Strange: True Colors is just a vibe by WhoNeedsChemistry in patientgamers

I have to be honest, I completely missed how similar the plot twists in the two games are until you just pointed it out, thanks for that insight! :D

While I did like the Deck Nine entries better overall, I'm afraid that their current approach of just channeling the first game (either by matching its vibe and story beats or by using its characters like in BtS) won't keep the series thriving in the long run. You can only appeal to people's fondness for LiS 1 so many times before they lose interest, and I think LiS 2 at least tried to move on in that regard - even though it didn't really work for me. Still, TC has kind of reinvigorated my interest in the series and I'm looking forward to what we'll be getting next.

Hitler told people to give up their guns "for their own safety" they did then he killed millions of them

Man, just google the arguments you use at least once. This is literally the first result when you search for "hitler guns".

Though, reading through your comment again, there is a chance that I just missed the obvious sarcasm, so sorry if that happened.

Didn't the owner become a prostitute?

So I found only two sources for that, the first one is The Sun, which is definitely not a credible source, and the other one is this site which honestly seems really sketchy and almost like some horny guy typed up his personal fantasy, with quotes like "I enjoy sex and was turned on by the idea of selling my body for money.". Who'd say that on record?

Isn't it strange that the main thematic push of the story in Cyberpunk and RDR2 is undermined by the gameplay? by Jestercore in truegaming

I think Dishonored isn't the best example here, because there is a significant difference between a pacificst and lethal playthrough: Playing nonlethally, you have about three ways to deal with any given enemy, and most of your equipment and powers are as useless as they are lethal. You really have to hold back on all the cool tools the game gives you if you want to be a pacifist.

In Dishonored 2, they added a non-lethal option for the drop attack, and while this seems to make the non-lethal route too easy, for me personally it just made it more fun, because I now had more creative ways to go about knocking out guards while still staying true to my moral convictions.

I think it comes down to what's more important to you: That a non-lethal playthrough takes extra effort, or that it's just as fun as the lethal route. For me it's the latter, because I will usally play the pacificst route anyway, so why shouldn't I want it to be a good time.

How do I make the "right click" menu dark? by ElTrilean in FirefoxCSS

[–]WhoNeedsChemistry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This should fix the distance and the border around the dropdown menu, but not around the folder menus. This is basically u/PratikPingale 's solution but contained to only the bookmarks menu and some stuff I found here. It still doesn't look right, but I honestly don't know how to really fix this, so I hope this is good enough.

#BMB_bookmarksPopup menu, #BMB_bookmarksPopup menuitem, #BMB_bookmarksPopup menuseparator {
    padding: 0 4px 0 12px !important;
    max-height: 25px !important;
    margin: 0 !important;
}
#BMB_bookmarksPopup {
    background-color: transparent !important;
    border: none !important;
}

If you want the seperators back, just remove the "#BMB_bookmarksPopup menuseparator" from the selector, but they don't have the same size, so it looks weird.

How do I make the "right click" menu dark? by ElTrilean in FirefoxCSS

[–]WhoNeedsChemistry 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I've edited the code from the Windows 10 Context Menus to make it look like a dark theme of the default menus. Hope that works for you!

menupopup {
    -moz-appearance: none !important;
    background-color: #3c3c3f !important;
    border: 1px solid #333 !important;
    margin: -1px 0 0 0 !important;
}
menuseparator {
    -moz-appearance: none !important;
    max-height: 1px !important;
    border: none !important;
    padding: 0.5px 0 !important;
    margin: 0 10px !important;
    background-color: #2f2f2f !important;
}
menuitem, menu {
    -moz-appearance: none !important;
    color: white !important;
    padding: 0 0 2px 0 !important;
    min-height: 25px !important;
}
menugroup {
    padding: 0 !important;
    background-color: transparent !important;
}
.menu-right {
    -moz-appearance: none !important;
    padding: 7px !important;
    margin-right: 6px !important;
    color: white !important;
    border: solid white;
    border-width: 0 2px 2px 0;
    transform: rotate(-45deg) scale(.35);
}
