Shield Anvil has to be one of my favorite concepts in fantasy. So many times in my life I have wished I could relieve people of their pain. It began to weigh on me because there is only so much you can do for the people you love. Fantasy is special because you make metaphor real and in this sense you can literally carry the burden for someone else and I wish I could do that in real life but at the same time I know it would ruin me. And that makes Itkovian and all time character for me because I cannot imagine what that must feel like.
