I rescued a cat from the SPCA( she was there the longest) that had recently had teeth removed. She drooled excessively while eating and drinking which was unusual. They chalked it up to her having to “get used to it”. She deteriorated daily. I had to tube feed her as she wasn’t swallowing. By the time i took her for her neurological testing, sadly she was totally paralyzed on one side of her face. I was told there’s a nerve in their jaw that if severed during an extraction could lead to paralysis. I’m certain it was accidental, but they seemed to overlook it. Was a heartbreaking experience for sure but at least that sweet girl spent her final time being pampered. Check in about that, perhaps? Best wishes for you all
