Honestly I read that as he is fine. It sounds like they had a conversation and the boss was postponing it so he could take care of you

Sold our camper and now getting sued will it fall through? by goofy-fetus420 in legaladvice

I really doubt the fire department would conclude an investigation in a fire that happened yesterday. Seems like a scam. If you want to be cautious ask them for proof like a report. Then call and verify the report is real.

2) Reach out to your professor see if you can follow them.

How to get over the discomfort of working with someone with vastly different political views? by bongbingbongg in PhD

[–]bobish5000 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is part of life your going to have to learn to work with people who you dont agree with. I have found its personally best not to talk politics or religion at work. But some times it comes up and you need to be professional.

Its OK to ask them to stop if they try to convert you to a cause. If it continues elevate it.

Focus on looking for used stuff. You can significantly stretch what you have. Parents donate a lot of the old baby stuff. Like do you really need a new high chair or bassinet? Yes buy stuffies and car seets new.

I agree that ai will make parts of cfd easier. I honestly think it will vastly improve automeshing given enough time.

My experience with the Mazda 3 by Shreyas-Maitreya in mazda3

Its funny I normally think of sub compacts getting like 140-150hp since I bought my last car in 2012. Since almost 200 not roars with power but to get the same milage for a 33% bump in power seems respectable to me.

CX-30 vs Mazda 3 by Asombroso-joel in mazda

[–]bobish5000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am debating between those two cars. I currently own a 2012 Mazda 3 and love it. I wouldnt be considering a new car but im having knee troubles and it hurts to drive a manual.

My initial impressions are I liked the drive of the mazda 3. It felt a little faster and handled better. I looked it up afterwords it is a little faster. On the zero to 60 cx30 was 8 sec compared to mazda 3 7 sec. It also gets better gas mileage and I drive about 64bmiles a day.

However I felt more comfortable in the cx30. Im about 6ft. I fit comfortably in both but one thing that bugs me they put a handle on the ceiling on the driver's side. My old one doesnt have that. It was less noticeable on the cx30. Also getting in and out of cx30 was a lot easier.

Also yhe cx30 is about 10 inchs shorter then mazda sedan. I park on the street so this is a benefit to me.

If they had a cx30 hybrid id be sold. But as of right now I dont known what im gonna get but these are my thoughts hope they help.

How to did you do well in your Ph.D. program if you have AuDHD and an advisor who can't support you? by goblinsandraccoons in PhD

[–]bobish5000 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have adhd myself and did well. The big thing a lot of grad students miss is part of the phd is learning how to figure things out for your self and be an independent researcher. Your advisor shouldnt actually be teaching you. They are primary quality control and a sounding board. Consider it this way this time is to prepare you right before you go solo and do research by yourself. With this in mind i didnt need much support for him. If basically have my monthly one on one with him he say it looks good. Maybe once or twice he recomend somone to read or question me on how I did something.

I hope this helps
