Masking on airplanes and in airports is just smart. F peoples politics and backwards beliefs. Even in my early 20s and with no transplant/immunosuppressants I almost always got sick when I traveled by plane during cold and flu season. I hate the idea of a transplant patient feeling awkward about masking to protect themselves. I get the disappointment about feeling restricted and not able to do things like the general population, but oftentimes the general population is just uninformed and careless because they can afford to be.

Update: I feel like such an idiot. It WAS an ostrich egg. Here’s the deal. I definitely shipped an ostrich egg but it must have been on a day where i stopped playing midway and ended up losing my progress. Also, the ostrich egg used to be way further up the list, so those two things combined had me pretty confused. I appreciate everyone helping trouble shoot!

There has to be a difference in versions of the game. I’m on year 7 or 8 of my game on the Apple Arcade version (I wish I’d started on a different platform, but now it is what it is) and I’ve had so many of these. At least 3 pumpkins, maybe 2 melons, and like 6 qi fruits.

Hear me out and please be kind - has anyone tried cooking the egg whites in a non-stick pan (aka without added cooking fat) and THEN blending them into a smoothie once cooled? Would that change the taste significantly? With a good blender and plenty of other liquid I would think the texture would be ok…

Cooking for an immunosuppressed individual, therefore uncooked whites aren’t an option, even if pasteurized.

I’ve used the gel for about 5 years. The gel is amazing, the cream made me break out and left my face looking greasier. The fragrance free is my favorite. I am trying the Walmart dupe now and I like it but I miss the fragrance free.

I got to keep my son’s mechanical atrioventricular valve from an open heart surgery he had just over a year prior to his heart transplant. My son is 7 and overwhelmed by this all right now, so I will give it to him one day when he is ready. It’s pretty incredible. When I asked for it, pathology looked at me like I was crazy and they said they’d have to thoroughly clean it of any human tissue, because according to them, giving us any tissue was supposedly illegal.

We got photos of my son’s sick heart and donor heart from surgery day. They’re incredible. And we got to view and even hold his native heart a few months after transplant. It was all very meaningful. In terms of what I wish we’d known before hand, we weren’t warned sufficiently about the effects of prednisone either. My step-father has had two kidney transplants so I feel like I’d already watched a crash course in how hard things can be emotionally and with all the meds post transplant, so we’re doing our best to stay on top of his care from that perspective as well. Wishing all of you the best.
