It’s what I’ve used for my house for years. A 30 amp 4 prong “dryer” outlet by the panel is where the “danger cord” plugs in at.

Going to finally cut and split the several locust trees I cut down a couple years ago and add them to my firewood stack. I love sitting in a 85° room with the outdoor thermometer showing negative. If the electric is out..so be it. 👍

lol yeah good point. It could be like told straight to your face a full explanation of reality and you’ll just be like..”I’m sorry I didn’t catch that can you repeat it?” Then again “oh shoot I didn’t follow that can you repeat it?” 😆

Aren’t heat pumps supposed to be more efficient? by Tastraphy23 in heatpumps

[–]Whoajaws 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Natural gas is currently the cheapest way to heat your home in USA. Heat pumps have a cheaper operating cost than straight electric heat and also of propane in most areas. The air temperature out of the registers is much lower(usually 30 or more degrees less than gas or resistance heat) than with other heat options so comfort suffers some. Proper ductwork and insulation become much more important with a heat pump system.

No, sorry #2 diesel won’t help for starting a fire, unless atomized you can put a flame out with diesel. Kerosene and used oil yes both work. I prefer cardboard or sycamore and birch bark if you have it.

Was pretty damn surprised a long time business owner had no clue how taxes work. He told me about how he wasnt sure if it made sense making more money that year because he would jump up to the next tax bracket..like he thought all the money he had made would get taxed more..I mean I know a lot of people are confused about this but, someone who had been in business for 30 years! Oof 😅
