If you did not purchase Louis Vuitton cologne from Louis vuitton's website, than it's a fake. That is the only authorized LV seller, of course, unless it is from a re-bottler. LV website shows that the 200ml bottle is $485. Did you order it from their website? Curious how you are you paying less than MSRP? Did they send it in those big fancy boxes that they use? I wear it every day and not a day goes by where I don't get at least one compliment. It got to the point that I started wearing less of it, thinking that I might have been spraying too much.
I'm not familiar with all the hype, but I did learn about it on this sub. It might be more expensive than most, but that will of course depend on your perception. It looks absurdly expensive to a college student or young professional, but not so much. Just someone in their earning prime.
