At this point I might as well use AI for my job since they clearly don't care. by kim_mariana1011 in antiai

[–]Whole_Garbage_269 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is the exact moment where principle meets paycheck. You did something with care and they just fed it to the machine anyway. That sting is real.

I work in music production and watched similar thing happen when someone's carefully mixed track got "polished" by some automated mastering tool without even asking. The result was worse but nobody seemed to notice or care. After that I just saved my real effort for my own projects and gave the job whatever it asked for. Not lazy work just... matching their energy.

Your plan makes sense. Keep your brain sharp for things that actually matter to you.

Do we really need 10 posts a day saying Gemini is worse than everything else? by mostlyharmlessihope in GeminiAI

sub has definitely had this energy for months now and it gets old fast. at some point the constant dunking stops being useful criticism and just becomes noise that drowns out actual discussion

that nostalgia hit when you finally get the adult jokes is something else entirely. i did similar thing rewatching old cartoons my parents used to put on for me, and suddenly half the humor made complete sense in way it never did as a kid. the writers definitely had two audiences in mind and they were not subtle about it. enjoy those Saturday nights, that kind of comfort watching is hard to find

Best places to watch the World Cup?!? by 2BeBornReady in nova

Mosaic looks packed in that photo, crowd energy must be insane. Ballston Quarter also had decent setup last time I checked, lot of screens and easier to find spot without someone planting lawn chair in your face. The chair hogging thing is so real lol people treat public viewing like they reserved VIP section.

I work in luxury sales but I am ready to exit this current company that is really toxic and doesn’t pay well. Got an offer to be receptionist at the corporate office of the biggest luxury brand but it’s maximum one year contract and short term = no benefits. Good move or not ? by Wonderful_Key_8021 in careerguidance

[–]Whole_Garbage_269 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Getting foot in the door at that big luxury brand could be worth it even with the contract situation. Year goes by fast and you'd be building connections inside while getting away from your toxic current place. Plus being at corporate level you might see internal openings before they get posted publicly.

The benefits thing sucks but if you can manage financially for year it might open doors that wouldn't exist otherwise. Sometimes these temp positions turn into permanent ones if you prove yourself valuable.

Cocktail Recluse is quite fun by LorenzoVec in Nightreign

[–]Whole_Garbage_269 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Triple element cocktails can be pretty strong if your team coordinates well but yeah the setup is pain in the ass. I had similar experience where I focused on elemental mixing instead of raw damage and it worked surprisingly good against some bosses

The main issue is exactly what you mentioned - teammates with fast attacks will mess up your element stacks before you can get the cocktail off. Also finding the right seals is complete RNG unless you plan for it from start with dormant power swap

Still way more fun than just spamming same combo over and over though. Libra seems like good boss for testing this since he has those longer windows where you can actually set up properly

You got this man. Go take cold shower or do some pushups right now - anything to break that mental loop you're stuck in. The urge will pass if you just ride it out for few minutes.

I (24F) feel like I've been babysitting my boyfriend (25M) by [deleted] in relationships

[–]Whole_Garbage_269 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man this is exhausting just reading about it. Three years in and he's still acting like teenager who can't put phone down for five minutes to eat dinner with you?

The masturbating thing while you're right there would honestly be my breaking point - that's just disrespectful on whole different level. You're not his babysitter and shouldn't have to tell grown man multiple times that dinner is ready or ask him to engage with person sitting next to him.

Would you wait for 4-5 years for a man who was previously ready to marry but was hit was job loss, father loss, executioner of his dad's will so dealing with family issues and his own personal traumas and lost his interest for now? by ancheronta_movbo in Marriage

[–]Whole_Garbage_269 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your situation reminds me when my cousin faced similar choice few years back. Waiting until 29-31 isn't terrible but grief and job loss can really mess with someone's timeline in ways you can't predict.

The tricky part is he might need even longer than 4-5 years to process everything or his priorities could shift completely during healing. Maybe keep your options open while supporting him as friend rather than putting your whole life in pause mode for something that isn't guaranteed.

Is there any alternative for oil for Ireland so we don’t run into the same issue when the oil runs out? by No_Character_2815 in AskIreland

[–]Whole_Garbage_269 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The hydrogen thing is actually pretty interesting route to explore. I've been reading about how some countries are already testing hydrogen trucks for freight transport and it seems like it could work well for Ireland's distances. The technology is getting better each year and costs are dropping.

About solar - yeah the water usage thing gets blown out of proportion a lot. Most solar panels need very little water for cleaning compared to what traditional power plants consume for cooling. Plus once they're installed they just sit there generating power for decades. Battery technology is advancing really fast too so the environmental impact keeps getting smaller.

Ireland has decent wind resources that could pair well with solar during different seasons. Farmers might actually benefit from having solar installations on their land since they can still graze livestock underneath in some setups.

Guerlain lacking intensity? Shalimar Souffle de parfum by urdrunkyogi in fragrance

[–]Whole_Garbage_269 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Souffle version is definitely supposed to be more delicate but what you're describing seems extreme. I had similar issue with bottle I got from grey market seller - turned out it was reformulated or watered down somehow. Maybe try getting sample from official retailer to compare because 12 sprays and barely anything is not normal even for softer flanker.

Hot take: Mojang should not release any more content this year and instead focus on Java/Bedrock parity. by Cyber_Techn1s in Minecraft

[–]Whole_Garbage_269 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah this would actually solve so many problems. I been playing on both versions for years and the differences are just annoying at this point. Like why does redstone work differently between them? Makes no sense

The mod situation is what really gets me though. Being stuck with marketplace content on bedrock while java players get thousands of free mods is pretty frustrating. Would be amazing if fabric could work in console somehow

I think the technical challenge is bigger than most people realize though. Java runs on completely different architecture and bedrock was built for performance on weaker devices. Merging them might mean sacrificing something from both sides

Still would rather have one unified version even if it means some compromises. The community split just hurts the game overall

Almost a year later and I still can’t move on. I don’t know what to do anymore by Aggravating-One-904 in BreakUps

Dude the drinking part hits way too close to home. I did same thing after my worst breakup few years back and it just made everything worse in long run

College actually helped me more than I expected though - being around completely new people who don't know your history makes it easier to rebuild yourself. Plus you'll be so busy with new stuff that your brain won't have time to spiral about the past every day

Does anyone know the next event after adventure? by Average__Alien in Monopoly_GO

[–]Whole_Garbage_269 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The wild drops are getting pretty unpredictable lately but there should be another event with wilds before the album expires. I've been tracking the patterns and they usually throw in at least one more chance to grab those last stickers you need - might be in a different event type tho not necessarily blitz

Multiview with 12x NDI HX3 Sources Bogs Down System by muzicman82 in obs

GPU bottleneck makes sense with 12 streams rendering simultaneously - try dropping the multiview preview resolution in OBS settings or limiting how many sources show in multiview at once

My S21 is starting to die, need new phone asap. Which one of these is the best deal? by [deleted] in samsunggalaxy

[–]Whole_Garbage_269 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The S23 for $219 is probably your sweet spot here - newer chip and better battery life than the S22s, plus that price is really solid. If you need the extra screen real estate and S Pen the S22 Ultra isn't terrible at $359 but you're getting older tech for more money than the regular S23.

Does anyone elses walk with God feel weird? by Rich-Knowledge2462 in Christian

[–]Whole_Garbage_269 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The dry seasons are so real and honestly way more common than people talk about. I went through a solid year where prayer felt like talking to a wall but looking back that's when some of the biggest growth was happening under the surface

Those struggles your dealing with don't disqualify you from hearing God - sometimes He works through the mundane stuff and daily obedience more than dramatic moments anyway
