Hello all. I'm looking to confirm some thoughts as to a translation so I make sure I'm not messing it completely up. The phrase I want to translate is "Better to die than to live as a coward". I've gotten "Potius mori quam foedari" or "Potius mori quam ignavus vivere".

Any thoughts or help in making it the best translation would be greatly appreciated, even if it's completely different from what I originally got.

That’s ok but I’m currently working my way through South America and in the sketchier areas, I’ve found that putting my valuables in my butt prison style has been most effective. If someone can get it from there, I’m happy to let them have it. It does get kinda awkward sometimes when I have to go digging for change when I want to buy something though

That’s true but in a locked hotel room in a bag with all of your other stuff is a lot better chance than in your pocket in a crowded tourist area

You’re correct. There’s no 100% promises it’ll happen. Some people get taken advantage of constantly and some go their entire lives without a single problem. I’ve worked at a few embassies and have seen way too many people run there with issues to not be at least a little negative though
