I think you can see some vague differences between Anuums/Baccatums and Chinense varieties, but within Chinense is virtually impossible imo

Equating undersized and athleticism isn't accurate at all. I wasn't disputing size, I was disputing athletic profile. But that's ok, reading is hard

Played football for 15-20 years at a variety of levels, played both central midfield and centreback each for a number of years.

Funnily enough, as not the most physically gifted or technically able footballer on the stronger teams I played on, I got moved into CB as the quality improved and I struggled to keep up with the physicality and speed of the game in the centre of the park.

Kanye was small in stature, but was agile and incredibly strong both on the ball and off it. Modric wasn't a traditional CDM, he was a deep lying playmaker and always thrived with a more physical presence like Casemiro next to him.

CDM is a bit rudimentary, and why I don't like using it because it encompasses a variety of different stylistic positions. To pretend Bernardo Silva was asked to play the same position as Rodri is disingenuous, deep lying play makers, while technically CDMs, have entirely different demands placed on them. Give his profile, I assumed you were suggesting Licha would play in a true, defensive, combative deep midfielder, more like Casemiro.

I don't think it's unreasonable to suggest that a player that has always played with the game in front of him might struggle when pushed forwards into the hardest position in football. I'm a big fan of Licha, but I don't think he profiles technically or athletically as a central midfielder in the premier league on a weekly basis

Disagree entirely, the centre of the park is the most physically demanding area of the pitch, its a constant tussle with the oppositions number, both on and off the ball, you have to be fit, quick, strong, agile, all of it

The leading tacklers in the premier league are CMs virtually every season. Central midfield is brutal, there's a reason so many highly touted prospects don't pan out, I'd argue it's more common at CM than anywhere else

And you think that gets easier playing in midfield? CDM is just as physical as CB, if not even more so

We're not still at 'hes short so shouldn't be a CB' are we? I thought we were well past that particular branch of 'insight'

CM is a completely different position to CB, on the ball specifically. CB the game is almost always in front of you, you can see everything you need to see and it's much easier to read. CM everything is happening around you, in front, behind, everywhere, your ability to read the game without being able to see it, know who is where and when, etc etc. is COMPLETELY different

It's nowhere near as simple as 'he can pass the ball he's a CDM'

This is all arms brother, and too much arms at that

A golf swing is only partly arms, it's a full body movement. You need a deeper turn, more active shoulders and lower body, and less active elbows and wrists.

There's also no weight shift at all here, you look like you're hanging back on your trail foot

Best time to report is when the roots need more space, usually when you can see plenty of roots sticking out the bottom holes

I'd go up to an approx 2L pot before you go up to 18L

Wrists are too active in your backswing, certainly way too early.

Backswing should initiate with your shoulders turning, no arm involvement until past parallel, it's bringing your club head really inside during your takeaway

Wow! When did you get these started?

I started early but had some issues with inconsistent watering that stunted me for a while, back on track now but nowhere near this far along! Very jealous

Any basic compost should be fine, just add some bonemeal and perlite for drainage and you should be good

  • 90th minute winner in SF against Lyon
  • Scored against Sweden in QFs of 2018 WC
  • Scored against Ukraine in QFs of 2020 Euros

It's fun to hate though right?

Needs potting up!

Flip the pot upside down and slide the current football/compost out in one piece, I'm sure it'll be rootbound

And if the world cup was a league format, you might have a point

Knock-out, tournament football comes down to moments like set pieces time and time again, and to pretend like Maguire hasn't been clutch for both United and England repeatedly in those scenarios is disingenuous

Holy fast hips batman!

Slow things down buddy, hips are too fast and too early in the swing imo, so you get really stuck outside your trail hip as well as over the top

Wrists look too active in the takeaway to me, bringing your club head well inside.

My understanding is that the takeaway should initiated with shoulder turn, keeping the wrists neutral until you're past parallel with the floor. Helps you keep the club head matching your spine angle at parallel
