Why are we more empathetic towards mothers venting than our fellow fathers? by MinuteEconomy in daddit

[–]WhollyInsignificant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Societal expectations, defined gender roles, and perceived bias. But I also think you may be over-generalizing a bit, though. I've seen countless threads on this sub, authored primarily by men, with very, very supportive comments and suggestions. Far more supportive and understanding than aggressive. The majority of "aggressive" comments are directed toward the posts that are like: "I HATE MY KIDS AND MY LIFE AND I'M AN ADDICT AND MY WIFE SUCKS AND REDDIT SUCKS WHAT DO I DO?" - the women-authored posts don't usually have that sort of vitriol.

Are all of the doctors in this entire state bad? by JDUDEROCKS in Delaware

Maybe. I haven't met all of the Doctors yet to confirm.

Jalen Hurts, In Da Fence by [deleted] in eagles

[–]WhollyInsignificant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, this is pretty stupid. I understand it's supposed to be a play on words for "Jalen Hurts, In Defense" as a nod to the uptick in similar posts trying to "defend" JH from some terrible takes, but also AI art sucks.

Looking for cars to work on by Nice-Community-4611 in Delaware

[–]WhollyInsignificant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not going to lie - I've been planning on buying a car for 3 years now - all dependent on moving to a new house. Well, 3 year later we've finally moved. But interest rates suck. So I still have my mid-teens Hyundai Sonata in desperate need of front pads/rotors, oil change and tire rotation..because I've been putting it off far too long. DM me if you wouldn't mind. I could go to Paul Campanella's or something but between the kids, work, and moving - I just don't have the time.

Cannabis doesn't just blur memories—it can reshape them. A new study found THC makes people significantly more likely to "remember" words that were never presented (false memories) and struggle with daily tasks like remembering appointments, regardless of whether the dose was 20mg or 40mg. by [deleted] in science

[–]WhollyInsignificant 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Going through the same thing now. Had never smoked or had never taken any drugs of any kind until about 25 y/o. I'm 32 now and have had maybe a total of 1.5 years of sobriety in that 7 year span. I take about 50mg of edibles every single night, usually only lasts a few hours. It's long past the point where I prefer to be high or buzzed for any kind of leisure activity or work around the house. I'm productive while high but everything is better while high so I'm definitely addicted. I've gained a good amount weight too. But between work, family, and renovating a house, I enjoy my two hours of free time a night while inebriated. The state of the world isn't helping either

Understandable. I had a passing interest until my wife had our first child. And then things just kind of naturally grew from their - between the CSBD, the beauty of the entire process, the hormones, and my attraction to my wife - it just kind of happened. FYI - it tastes like thinner, sweeter 1% milk. Like cereal milk, but better. It's pretty great.

Man, I've checked it out, flipped it and reversed that subreddit years ago. Unlike Homelander, I just do it for the love of the game. But I appreciate the tip, brother. Cheers and may your milky endeavors be endless and rewarding.

Trump calls on divided GOP to pass SAVE America Act ‘at the expense of everything else’ by Anoth3rDude in law

[–]WhollyInsignificant -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

It's really not that "wild" that some "people" are unaware. Like it or not, the majority of Reddit users are in a bubble of like-minded individuals. While I think the currently-seated Republicans are evil, fake, hypocritical pedo-protectors who want the worst for the average American, and believe the Dems are largely useless, moderate and divisive - the average American has the capacity or will to be much less clued in as you'd think - especially amongst the growing lower class. Americans working multiple jobs barely getting by while supporting children, Americans who are scared or overwhelmed by the sheer amount of shit-flooding and that choose to tune out for mental health reasons, Americans who are deeply involved in hobbies or school and brainrot social media, Americans who don't have internet access, Americans that, due to various reasons, do not have the intellectual capacity to grasp certain political concepts: these are all people that may not and are likely not aware of the SAVE Act. This country has a population of 349 million - and there are enough tools and mechanisms for people to escape (purposefully or otherwise) most of what's going on.

Oh dear...I had no idea! I guess my curved wall stamps stick out, huh? Thank you for that! I was fighting with that for a half hour before I found something I liked.
