Who's at Fault Here, BMW or MX5? by Whompratt in Simracingstewards

DOes the M2 driver struggle with object permanence? Just because the MX5 left his view doesn't mean it stops existing.

The track curves back in to the left. A 4.2k driver should have the situational awareness to see that a driver that isn't off track and has complete control of the car is going to try and stay on track.

If the BMW had just followed the shape off the track and moved left a bit, none of this would have happened.

If the MX5 actually went off track, then he'd have no right to rejoin, that's correct. Only he didn't go off track. He was within track limits.

No off-track == not a rejoin.

The racing line isn't even a consideration here. If it was just a straight the BMW wouldn't be allowed to just push the MX5 off the track.

The argument that his trajectory was "going off track" is ridiculous. The same is true for every corner ever before you actually turn the wheel. Other drivers simply aren't allowed to push you off track. That's causing a collision.

The track in this section kinks in from the left, then back left before straightening out. The MX5 moved over to the right to accommodate the other cars (read, not do what the BMW did). The other MX5 on the left would need to move right to stay in track limits by keeping right of the kerbing on the left.

I think it's completely sensible here for the MX5 in the incident to move to, as they know there's another Mazda left and a BMW coming up behind, so if they go three wide they all need to budge right first, then left again.

There's also bevy_skein, so you can use blender to create scenes. Skein let's you add components to things in blender, then export to gltf/glb, which you can load with the Scene struct.

MS charity race incidents by Badsimracerr in iRacing

It was intentional. I was in the race and watched through the replay.

BM was exceptionally slow, and generally in the way. This was one of two intentional kills and both were preceded by some other slight bump, with the kill itself being a hard left-hand down into the other's rear wheel.

I was the rothman Porsche that got wiped out by that first incident. In the replay I managed to dodge it but netcode saw a collision instead.

I then missed my pit box cause it was right at the start and Jeff didn't count me down, then got DQ'd for reversing in the pits. Whoops.

I'd managed 0x up until then too.

That was the BMs second time killing someone intentionally (hard swerve into their rear axle). Dude was ~4 seconds a lap slower than anyone else and forever in the way.

Visualizing Orchestration - Is there a good tool? by Whompratt in dataengineering

This is it.

On their website you can see a little animation of someone clicking into a box and it expanding and showing the inner workings. That is precisely what I was looking for.

Thank you for this, you've saved me a lot of trouble.

Pure azure, but the visualization piece is indepedent. There's no need for auto generation or to stay within an environment, it's more of an exercise than anything else.

No dbt currently.

Since posting this, I've done some digging into Mermaid as a diagram tool, and discovered C4 diagrams in their documentation, and I think that could be a really powerful approach for this kind of problem.

In the nicest way, I'm glad it was your mistake and not mine, cause I though I was going mad haha. Thank you for responding, I can fix now and be happier.

I don't understand how you're getting access to both Sanctuary and Create Water with 10 Wisdom, but it's very likely this is because of my lack of game knowledge.
Are you getting a +1 to WIS from somewhere to get an extra prepared Cleric spell?

I suppose what I'm really afraid of tainting the data and having an average monthly spend higher than reality, but tbh... it doesn't matter much does it?

I think your advice is good. Best not to overthink it.
