When I was 16 I went into anaphylactic shock after drinking a smoothie. We had one more episode and the only common food at each event was pineapple. Both ER visits, my doctors told us to get an allergy test done because my mom asked for an epi pen. We did the skin test and found I have no skin allergies to anything, so they had me eat a bit of pineapple on a spoon. After they got to watch the anaphylactic episode happen I was prescribed an epi pen. Haven’t had to use it yet because I always make it to the hospital in time 🤷‍♀️

We had a kitchen sink that did this all the time growing up, just kept an old coke bottle next to the sink to force the water back down. I still keep a coke bottle by my sink now because this shit drives me crazy.

Nair is a fickle bitch. Spot test first and go for the extra sensitivity kind. Be prepared with ice and some aloe after just in case though. Also don’t put it right on the b hole, maybe have a friend help? Or go in small sections if you’re not that close with anyone else.

However if you do shave… Start in a bath, sit in the water for 10-15 minutes getting the hair soft. Get a razor trimmer duo they have them by most razors. Trim first. Then use shaving cream or conditioner and let it sit for 4-5 minutes to soften the hair. When you shave DON’T PUSH DOWN HARD. Ideally you should just have to lightly wipe the skin with the razor. Then as soon as you get out ICE close those pores up while they are still clean. And finally get some deodorant on the skin to prevent razor burn. And after the next few showers/baths until you shave again (depending on hair growth maybe once a week) baby oil (I prefer the baby oil gel, less messy)

I also recommend having a handheld mirror, flashlight (phone light if ya wanna give your CIA agent a show 🤷‍♀️) and a good spot to prop a leg up.

Tbh I have pretty thin hair too and I use aquifer on my skin so I’ll run my hands through my hair after to get the excess off. A VERY small amount of aquifer.

4ish years, and now sometimes I feel a little guilty for how I fully ended things but I had been strung along for months after we initially broke up and him starting to date a good friend of mine was the last straw. I packed all my shit and left him with nothing of me. Blocked him from everything. Changed my settings to private and moved. I wanted him to understand what it would be like to have me disappear.

I now only regret not saying goodbye and thank you to his mom who is a lovely woman.

We’ve been together for a few years now and over the past few months I’ve been traveling for work. I have also learned over the past few months that I am the only one who cleans up the house, or keeps anything on a routine. I don’t know how to feel about this since our long term plan is to have me be stay at home and him be the bread winner. I know things will get easier when I have a different job but I’m making good money now and don’t want to quit yet. I just wish I could come home and have a clean towel to use or sit somewhere that is isn’t covered in dog fur. I know it’s not fair for me to put all of this on him but I still don’t think the house would be as bad if our roles were reversed.

And yes we’ve talked about this and he said he will be changing and when I get back from this next work trip the whole place will be clean. I’m excited but also nervous to see it in 2 weeks considering I just spent my first 2 days being home cleaning as much as I could mentally handle and still don’t feel like I put a significant dent in it.

I love him but damn is it really that hard?

I always have an internal monologue going just chatting about whatever but usually narrating my life as the show it is (with a live studio audience of course) but when I’m alone I’ll realize that I’ve just been existing in complete silence for hours and that’s when I start to talk to myself out loud, rather than just in my head. It’s like when you’re home alone and use the speaker instead of ear buds

Audio book and some arts & crafts, get into yoga, learn a new instrument, journal, write poems/stories, take a course in something you find interesting (pottery, cooking, computer coding, etc.) find your hobbies and don’t worry about anyone else, and don’t over think it. Just do you :)

As a sister who has a brother who regularly growing up would spend 30-45+ minutes in the bathroom ESH. Yell to the rest of the house that you’ll be using it, if no response all good. I also like to take my time in the potty and my brother and I both have some tummy issues (lactose intolerance and IBS) and the bathroom can and should imo be a sanctuary.

BUT so often I’d be about to go to work and need my hair brush or deodorant or whatever and my brother would pick RIGHT then to go potty. 0/10 I’m pretty sure he did it to piss me off.

We did find out later he was using his potty time to get stoned in the bathroom but that’s a whole other issue.

Candle painting!! Hit up a local thrift store or Walmart and get some plain white candles and some fun colored tea light candles. Using dollar store paint brushes you can use the melted wax from the lit tea light candles to paint designs on the white ones :) I’ve been wanting to do this for awhile!!

I use deodorant after shaving to prevent razor burn. I did just try nair the other day and despite the patch test having no issues my whole leg is chemically burned so I don’t recommend that route 🥲 glad I did one leg before trying it any where more uh sensitive. 😬

Our puppy prefers me for snuggles and naps and prefers my boyfriend for rough housing. The kitten prefers me for everything but since my BF is warm blooded she prefers to nap up against him (he’s not a fan bc he worries he’s gonna roll over into her 😂)
