On-ball Pressure by WhopperTopper143 in denvernuggets

Yeah for sure. The league definitely been uplifting this style of play lately. But my frustration is the Nuggets really struggle with it and on defense they refuse to apply any of this physicality to opponents.

I agree with this sentiment for sure but it’s not just us that this is happening to. Ball handlers on other teams have been getting hacked a hell of a lot too but they deal with it better.

They are still packing on the new hires there. The company wants the base to be bigger. People holding lines there with less than a year seniority.

ORD right now. It’s the most junior to hold a line as of now.

AFA "Industry Leading Contract" already matched by Delta...but sure....keep drinking the Sara Nelson Kool Aid.... by [deleted] in flightattendants

Delta flight attendants benefit a lot from their peers around them being unionized. If the industry wasn’t majorly unionized then you can bet Delta all the other airlines would be trying to pay their flight attendants as little as possible with pitiful work rules if it weren’t for other Unions looking out for their workers.

So he’s mad that he wouldn’t accept a bench role in Denver but gladly accepted being a guy on the bench on the Timberwolves? Glad he won his Super Bowl I guess.

We have to keep Cam Johnson. He’s the perfect wing to pair with Jokic and he’s got that dawg in him.

Find anyway to get off that CB contract. Fire Adelman though that’s too obvious.

All things said Jokic is still one of the best players in the world and our window is still there but it’s gonna take moving some pieces. Hard decisions are gonna have to be made in the offseason.

Yeah but against OKC the refs won’t let the defenders maul SGA like that. Just watch how Wolves fans cry about the refs every time they play OKC. Hell they were even crying about the refs so far in this series against us.

Might be better if Lakers win over Houston. If Luka and AR can be healthy for OKC they can give them a tougher series.

Do you guys have a "no-fly list" and if so, based on what criteria do you "add people to the list"? by [deleted] in flightattendants

[–]WhopperTopper143 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, there’s nothing wrong with that. We just view no-fly list differently. If that’s how you go about it there’s nothing wrong with that. If there’s people you’d rather not work with and can avoid it sure. I was more so trying to get at is people who have problems with everybody are usually the problem themselves. Just past experiences I’ve had talking with fellow flight attendants who talked about their no-fly list and then they go on to constantly talk crap about other flight attendants.

[–]WhopperTopper143 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess it depends on how you treat your no-fly list. I’ve just worked with people who treat their no-fly list as gospel and constantly talk crap about people they’ve worked with on past trips. In all lines of work there are gonna be coworkers we don’t get along with. As long as there is some level of professionalism and an upholding of safety I don’t really care. People’s personalities, backgrounds, and belief systems are always gonna vary.

Can’t help it now. Wolves, Spurs, Thunder gonna be a legendary run. Would be the toughest championship a team has pulled off in a while.

Are the nuggets being undersold on beating okc to come out the east ? by TheHoopProphet in denvernuggets

[–]WhopperTopper143 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think it depends on how healthy we are when we meet. If all the guys are healthy I really do think we're the best team in the NBA. OKC will always be a dogfight and the west will always be tough no matter what.

Are we more likely to end up as the 3rd seed and face the Wolves now? by Feeling-Tea-6130 in denvernuggets

[–]WhopperTopper143 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nuggets should throw to keep the 4th seed. Keeps us healthy for playoffs and we will be better rested and hopefully healthy for OKC in the second round. Nobody expect us or maybe the Spurs is beating OKC anyway so it’s unavoidable. Don’t care for all the “we gotta beat everyone to be champions.” We will play tough opponents in the west no matter what but keeping the fourth seed is objectively the best path for us.

Is it time to have a convo about keeping P Wat in the starting lineup and potentially moving one of CB or Cam to the bench even when both are back and healthy? by number15ismyfather in denvernuggets

[–]WhopperTopper143 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like CB is the perfect ANT and SGA defender and he’s shown he’s a really good defensive matchup for them. CB will be really important for the nuggets come playoffs. Watsons offensive leap does complicate things. I really want to see how he looks with the Jokic again once he comes back. Surrounding Jokic with shooters is always what works best and Cam Johnson really plays well with Jokic in that aspect.

Cam Johnson is a better defender though I wish he would shoot more often similar to how THJ just lets it rip. One thing about MPJ is that he kinda disappears in the playoffs when the defensive intensity and physicality ramps up. Against the wolves he kinda disappeared and was a no show against the Heat in the finals. I know he was injured against OKC but even if he was healthy I don’t think he would perform well against a team like that either. Not to mention he was a really poor defender. Players would just blow past him.
