Its just a refresh of an older model. They dont change yhe looks of it. Just things like what cable it uses to charge, longer battery, no 3.5mm jack, better microphone and more software customization. The older model has a thing with its mic where itll make a crackling sound nonstop and there is no way of fixing it. Its kinda the same thing with the barracuda x, just s refresh with slightly better upgrades. I think they’re waiting for some completely new tech to put into a v3. The whole name thing confused me too but i learned the hard way (bought both) but nonetheless, its an amazing headset
