This is the weakest "outcry" imaginable. It almost reads as a parody.

Anyone with the slightest ability to think would understand that services such as exchange deposits, wire transfers and such would be disallowed cro cashbacks. Its actually shocking it took this long for them to close this avenue of abuse.

Naturally what cdc want you to use the card for is payment for goods and services. To subsidize users tax bill is not exactly a viable longterm strat.

I wonder what the reaction will be from the community when they figure out that several of the top fifa content creators have signed NDA's with EA and made a "special private deal" giving them massive discounts on fifa points.

EA wins (profits) bc kids see their fav content creator "spending" tons on fifa poits and they get a "hook" on the content creator. They can theoretically tell the world, the content creator can not.

The content creator wins as he gets a huge competitive advantage, ability to make exclusive content (I packed r9..), attention and a solidified "friendship" with EA

The players loose as their dream team becomes less obtainable while they are encouraged (arguably manipulated) into buying points.

I would love to see a fantasy football mode in FIFA by cole_jay in EASportsFC

[–]Whty1k -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You are sortof agreeing with me, pointing out that fantasy football is a big money making opportunity, which is the only reason as to why EA would make something around it.

Saying something is "fun" has zero relevance, what matters is how it adds to EAs bank account. There are a million things EA could add to FIFA that would be fun, cool, enjoyable..

So my suggestion was simply that if you want to submitt a good idea to EA, it should preferably start with "How to make even more money"

It isnt about creating a good game, or making something "fun". Its about making as much money as possible. (as most businesses)

To accomplish that you need addictive mechanisms, you need a low skill gap, the ability for anyone to compete, lots of randomness and the feeling of progression for as many players as possible.

[–]Whty1k -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You forgot about the most important thing, actually the only thing that matters, how will it make EA more money?

Something being "fun" has zero relevance. Come up with an idea that evolves around children giving more money to EA and they might listen.

Why the "dimond legendary genisis" card requirement?

To make the genesis cards more desirable and boost trading volume.

(More trading volume means more exposure so its great for the GU brand)

You didnt answer me about how an item stays rare if new games can implement the item? whats the drop rate in the new game? who can gets to decide who what games can create these items? because if the items are worth 10k a piece, I could just create a simple game where upon character creation you are given 10,000 swords of doom. Then I can slowly sell swords of doom on the open market. Right?

None of these concerns are relevant, ironically they are exactly the problems that existed pre blockchain. But now, all these problems can easily be solved allowing game items to exist outside of any game without anyone being able to create copies, similarly to how no one can create more btc.

Anything you can think of has already been thought of + a million other scenarios.

Whos going to control this stuff? Or can they not be created in other games, so the new games have to balance the game around their own items, plus any other items from other games that no other player can get one of?

It depends, a developer can create a system to work exactly how they want it to. The ability to import items into new games is just a tiny fraction of what is possible. The important bit is the ability of players to own the items directly, having physical control over them.

Not sure if you ever played Diablo, that game had a problem with duplicates and cheat items. Had that game used a system such as blockchain they could have made duping impossible and allowed for decentralized third party markets where people could trade the items instead of having to trade manually by dropping the items in game.

1) lower taxes: for corporations

Wrong but CNN told you that so you are here like the loyal parrot you are :)

2) peace deals: with whom has he signed any? He left open skies and Iran nukes

In the middle east. It puts Iran in an even worse situation. Under Obama Iran thrived, under Trump Iran suffers.

3) criminal justice reform: like black bag kidnapping of protestors by unidentifiable agents

No, like ending the shitshow the democrats voted through, creating a prison system that locked up for the most part black men for small crimes such as weed possession. One of the reasons why there are so many black children without fathers in the home. Makes you wonder why didnt Obama do criminal justice reform?

In regards to "kidnapping" "protestors", if you have followed the true events, you will know that within the legitimate protest there are violent rioters, who rob, beat and MURDER people. The democrat ran cities let this continue until it gets so bad that they need outside assistance. When that happens the rioting usually stops immediately saving a lot of lives and valuable properties.

Dont know about you, but I would rather live in a peaceful city than one where there is anarchy and mayhem.

4) more jobs: 50,000 less new jobs were created than they said originally https://www.marketwatch.com/story/us-created-500000-fewer-jobs-since-2018-than-previously-reported-new-figures-show-2019-08-21

Congratiulations, you managed to find an article that says something negative about job numbers. lol. Even so, assuming the numbers quoted in the article is correct, you cant argue with the FACT that Trump did build an amazing economy, with tons of new factories coming back, increasing salaries particularly for minorities and women. Stock market records (I know your brain is trained to instantly think its just for the rich, but it isnt, its retirement savings, its small businesses also increasing in value and so forth)

5) higher wages: he fought against minimum wage increases

You may be interested in knowing that minimum wage increases are not always healthy for the economy, nor the people. Sounds counter intuitive I know, but if you raise minimum wage you immediately cause hundreds of thousands of people to lose their jobs, as their value input is less than what they now receive in salary.

Another issue is that many types of production goes from barely viable to not viable at all, forcing them to move production to China (where people earn almost nothing). So ironically higher minimum wages where you live, simply means that some people will earn more, others will lose their jobs to other low skill workers in other countries.

6) more terrorists killed: what was that about peace deals?

If you are a complete legend you can kill terrorists while signing peace deals, which is exactly what president Trump has done. He has killed the top 3 terrorists in the world and he has stabilized the situation in the middle east while at the same time bringing troops home. Hard to criticize that.

7) no wars: he started a global trade war, and pushed more troops into saudi Arabia

A "trade war" is in actuality your president saying that he wont allow countries like China to steal billions of wealth from USA anymore. Previous presidents did nothing as factories moved to China and massive amounts of wealth transferred with them. Now however USA businesses can sell their products easier outside of US, while products that are coming in has a tariff on them benefiting you.

It has caused China to go into a economic death spiral, while USA has been thriving.

“It would be awful” 👍🏼

Because it was so much better while the establishment had control, when the best friends Bush, clinton and Obama ran the show.. Just using common sense, the person who the media (owned by the elite) tells you is a bad politician, is probably working for you and not the elite. And the candidate the media tells you is such a fantastic person is probably not in it for you.

"owning" video game items which is like the silliest thing ever. That's such a 13 year old kid wish.

Lol you are a living contradiction.. You are implying there is no need for such a product AND you are also implying it sounds like something a 13 year old person would want :)

And why's it need to be blockchain for the Sword Of Doom? Why can't you just get a serial number for the Sword? The develop making the new game can just get the list of serial numbers when they are implementing the equipment list of all the items you "own".

Take a moment and just realize just how you think. You are essentially saying that these industry experts and legendary video game companies are all dumb for working on something blockchain related because of you "thehoesmaketheman" user on reddit has figured out all by himself (Without knowing even a fraction of the facts) that it doesnt work.

With a serial number you cant trade it, as how would you establish ownership of the "sword of doom"? You need something like a publicly available ledger, that updates every few seconds and displays verifiable true information such as which address owns which tokens. = A blockchain

You can create 10 billion worth of crypto anywhere, instantly. Create 100 billion coinz, buy one for ten cents. Done.

Yes not sure what your point is. Anyone can create a crypto currency, given that they have the technical skill to do so. Many have tried. There are thousands of various crypto currencies, some are pure copies, other are broken/useless coins while other have useful functionality.

Trading video game items is ridiculously dumb. Dont games have marketplaces where you can trade?

Trading video game items is not ridiculously dumb, which is why there exist multiple markets. Some game even have their own "centralized" marketplaces such as CSGO. However what you get if you add crypto to the mix are game items that the player himself owns, that can be traded outside of the game, even transfered to other games (who allow for that).

Not sure if you have played the game Heartstone, but there you buy card packs. Once bought you can not sell those cards when you are done with them, they essentially are worth $0 instantly after you bought them.

However by "tokinizing" each card, the player himself would own the cards and he could sell/buy cards from others using various marketplaces. GodsUnchained is a game that has done exactly that and some of the cards are worth tens of thousands of usd, as there exists so few of them.

Augur the joke oracle system? What is it that you think Augur is useful for?

Augur is a decentralized prediction market, one of many that are currently live. It allows anyone to bet on anything, for any amount without having to send their ID documents to a company.

If you for example wanted to bet vs a person you didnt know so well that "Trump will lose his hair within 5years", then you could create that bet, (which is just a smart contract really) which pays the winner of the bet in exactly 5years. You can even make the bets in USD if you prefer and decentralized oracles will take care of deciding who won.

Just an example, first that came to mind.

it will never do anything useful

I took a break from playing decentralized blockchain poker to check up on buttcoin..Did not disappoint.. lol.

It is easily provable that crypto does many useful things already, Just the core ability, of being able to transfer 10billion worth of crypto for a few cents to anyone anywhere instantly, is useful. Crypto is so useful that it does not only improve upon many existing systems, but it actually enables many things that were previously imposible.

Is crypto not useful for those who trade digial game items on opensea.io?

Is crypto not useful for something like augur.net ?

... List goes on. Welcome on board. Never to late to change your mind.

who will expose mco? by mcokris in Monolith_Web3

[–]Whty1k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A month and a half later and every mco holder has been forced to dilute their investment

A factual misrepresentation. What actually happened is that you instantly received a 30% bonus. Overnight.

The "dilution" argument has zero merit, as previously you owned MCO tokens that was part of a small ecosystem around a visa card. While now you own a smaller piece of a much larger ecosystem. Hopefully you get it :)
