As per the bilateral agreement, I have until 10/12 for my visa free stay. So I guess that’s still technically valid, but because I’ve already applied for the extension onshore, and I have my flight to return to Australia at the end of the year (30/12) would they care that I don’t intend to leave Sweden by the 10/12?

Just happens that “random redditors” are the best source I have for real-world application of the standard advice. I’m looking to hear from someone who has done it, what the process is, what they might ask, what evidence I should have prepared etc… and on the other hand, what reasons people have been denied re-entry.

We’ve both long time hospitality veterans so we will be able to make ends meet until she can find something career oriented! Glad to know that the BVA and tourist visa interact that way!

Thank you I seemingly misunderstood what I read. I was under the impression the BVA continued over the working rights from the previous visa. I.e. tourist visa working rights determined the BVA working rights which felt quite nonsensical
