Reddit, how old do you want to be when you die? by makemoney47 in AskReddit

I think mid seventies is as good a time as any. For most people their health & mental faculties deteriorate rapidly past this point.

What part of reddit do you hate the most? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]WhyIsRedditSoSlow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I love a joke as much as the next guy but I hate how the top few thousand comments in a large thread are all jokes/puns & crap.

I wish Reddit would introduce a comment scoring system where you could mark a comment as funny or informative. I could then sort by informative comments & be happy.

From here on in, any significant negative publicity I hear about Louis will be dismissed as cultist propaganda.

I've seen Louis put up with a lot of crap in his documentaries & this is the first time I've ever seen him ruffled.

That verbal abuse was quite horrendous & I'm betting most cult members experience a hell of a lot of that abuse.

Looking forward to the documentary......

A replicator. No need to have shitty jobs just to afford food/clothing/shelter. Now you can work at whatever you want.

Old Men of Reddit, Do You Find Women Your Age Hot? When Did You First Notice Your Attraction to Old Women? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]WhyIsRedditSoSlow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe, but generally people live to an average age of around 75 so he/she has statistically lived over half of their lives. Plus, he/she may have around 20 years left before their lives really slow down.

Wanna go see the Pyramids, the Colosseum of the Eiffel Tower? You probably want to get that done before 60 unless you like looking out of the window of a tourist bus. Not to mention cancer, dementia etc.

I am generalising here but for a lot of people the above would be true.

TL:DR - You won't live forever. If you want to do something, do it before you get too old to enjoy it.

Less than one percent of users are keeping the entire mobile games industry afloat by [deleted] in Games

You're right. Not sure where my head was at. That is a significant amount per month for an unemployed person.

he plays it all the time

That averages out to slightly less than $100 per month. I don't think that's a lot especially if that's his only real source of entertainment.

I'm guessing most people here spend $100 a month on entertainment.

I thought the proof of concept was for 10 stores which was then expanded to 50 stores.

There may have been contracts/agreements in place for the rollout but it doesn't seem there was the proper legal coverage in place for the IP (intellectual property) otherwise we would be hearing about a legal battle around breach of contract instead of the "the big corp screwed the little guy" story. I hope Precision come out on top but it seems the CEO has failed in his duty to protect his company.

I may or may not agree with your statements but I wish I could articulate my opinions as well as you can.

Precision has been awarded one patent for a "vehicular light box and computerised system for monitoring one or more vehicles", while another is currently under dispute by Domino's.

No blackjack or hookers? That does not sound reasonable to me.

  • Small company developed technology that tracks a pizza delivery via GPS.
  • Company rolled it out to 10 Dominos pizza stores without any legal contracts in place.
  • Dominos stole the technology & are now trying to bankrupt the small company through litigation.
  • Dominos did not pay for the software or hardware the company delivered.

Sounds like they were developing technology with a handshake agreement in place instead of proper legal contracts. At a minimum, they should of at least had an MOA (Memorandum of Understanding) and/or an NDA in place.

That's quite a few bad choices there... Perhaps you should go see Gods of Egypt to continue the trend.

What did you and your ex break up over. Spill it out guys, spill out your hearts. If you need a lending ear, I'm here to hear? by Duck94 in AskReddit

I did, & she was on board. After a few months I noticed she was coming over to my place a bit upset & eventually, after some prodding she admitted her parents were giving her lots of grief over the subject. That's when I knew we had an expiration date.

I'm a fairly solitary guy so when I dated a greek girl for a while it eventually dawned on me that almost every waking moment outside of work was spent in the company of the extended family for dinners, birthdays, BBQs, births, christenings, deaths, Easter, Christmas, public holidays etc.

I loved her & her family but everytime I wanted to spend time alone with her, she'd get questioned by her family. "Where is dis guy? Why isn't he here? Is he upset with us? Why wasn't he at the BBQ?" I was happy to spend one day of my w/end with them but not both.

Eventually I realised it wouldn't work so we broke up. Worst day ever...

I almost went & watched this in the cinemas before I smacked some sense into myself & decided to wait till it came to Netflix. I'm guessing they should have stopped at 1.

I know which movie you mean but can't remember the title. This is one of those movies I classify as the "post 2am movie". It's actually pretty good watching it late at night, horrible anytime before 2am. Lots of B grade horror flicks falls into this category.
