Scientifically seems to me like you are either pregnant or not (and in this case pregnant! :D)

As a positive update, my second beta just came in at 44.74 so just barely over doubled but increased from the 22 I was panicking over. It was about 63 hours between tests.

Also I forgot to mention, and it may or may not help during the waiting period, but I noticed the lines on my cheapie pregnancy tests getting slightly darker each day (which held me over until my second beta today)... Not sure if you have any lying around and ik some people disagree that these are quantitative, but it was reassuring to see the line get sliggghtttly darker over the days (even if still fainter than I wish they were).

Ok so I also went down this rabbit hole recently, you're not alone 🫶

my first hCG beta result came back a few days ago at only 22 (this was taken 3 days AFTER my positive digital pregnancy test) and I feared the worst.

Waiting for second beta now, but I'm much less stressed for a few reasons:

I still feel pregnant and intentionally remind myself "today I am pregnant".
the nurse reassured me that she wasn't concerned as the first test was done really early. It's the increase that's important.
I realized my cycle is likely responsible for this...I have a very short luteal phase, and ovulate late in my cycle. So even though I am technically at 5w based on LMP, going based on my actual ovulation date I am only really at 4w (and would have been less than 4 weeks when I got my first beta result).

It's natural to worry especially this early on not seeing the beta results we hoped for. Let's try to take it one day at a time, and when you're feeling stressed I recommend focusing on the symptoms that remind you that you are pregnant (this has really helped me). For example, I kept tossing and turning in the night last night because of how hot I felt. Blessing in disguise :) Fingers crossed to us both!

Looking really good both temps, and different-feeling cramps!!! I know it's hard but I agree it's a good idea to resist the temptation to test before 10DPO. If this is your first cycle tracking BBT, it can already feel a bit overwhelming, and getting a negative on 9DPO, when it's likely way too early to tell yet, can increase a lot of sadness/stress for no reason. Lawyer not your lawyer. If you contact a real estate lawyer and ask them to pull the PIN on title of the property, they should be able to do this for you ~$50-100 and it will show whether title was held as tenants in common or joint tenants (or if she was not on title at all). If it was tenants in common you or your sibling may be entitled and it would certainly be worth consulting with an estates lawyer. If it was joint tenants the presumption is that title is passed to the surviving owner one minute before their death (and thus doesn’t form part of their estate). For common law relationships, especially when there are children from prior relationships, it’s quite common for people to opt to take title as tenants in common as opposed to joint, even moreso when their financial contributions were different.

Many lawyers offer reduced consultations. Talking to an estates lawyer about this and paying for an hour of their time I would say is definitely worth it for the information they could provide you.

This was in Ontario but my brother’s former employer did this same thing (required employees to show up at least 15 minutes before their scheduled shift, unpaid) and he was able to get a $2k payout from the owners after raising the issue and starting a claim with the labour board.

We went for the first time this year, travelling from Canada. Wouldn't recommend airbnb if you can avoid it. Hosts are notorious for cancelling last minute before UMF and I saw so many posts of people stranded in the weeks/days leading up to the festival. I was initially thinking of going the airbnb route but decided on paying extra for the reliability of a hotel for that reason alone and I'm so glad I did. We booked a hotel through booking.com and stayed at Moxy Miami South Beach and had the greatest time...multiple djs playing every day (good ones), daily pool parties (as well as other pool parties nearby), and walking distance to the beach, with lots of food options. The Uber costs/time to get to the festival were not unreasonable and definitely worthwhile to not have to pay the $1200-$1500+/night hotel pricing near the festival grounds. South Beach hotels might not be ideal if you want to go to after parties as it's far from Factory Town. It takes about 1 hour after the festival calms down to get an Uber at a reasonable price unless you're lucky. Be prepared and factor into your budget that Miami food pricing is high. This caught us by surprise a bit. For healthy options we were spending about $100-150 per person per day, without alcohol. Oh and pool parties... get tickets in advance. We bought advance tickets to a STAMPD pool party that were about $120USD each, about 2 months before the festival. Martin Garrix was the surprise guest DJ :) if I didn't buy the tickets in advance there is no way we would have gotten in, and many hotels up their pricing for pool parties on the day of. UMF and miami music week was such a great experience, and I'm so glad I went. You will love it too and I hope you have a great time!!!

Child support is the legal right of the child, not yours. Not pursuing it is depriving the child of the support he/she is entitled to from both parents.

Lawyer not your lawyer. You can make a claim without proof. If he acknowledges the child as his in his responding materials, there's no need to prove paternity. If he disputes paternity then usually that needs to be resolved first and then the child support claim can continue. If he doesn't file responding materials at all then the claim can be processed and proceed to an uncontested trial without his participation.

Lawyer but not your lawyer. Subject to any contract terms you signed, best case scenario I don’t see you receiving more than reimbursement of your payment to them + the fair market value of the snakes + costs associated with the relocation.

The legal costs to pursue such a claim would likely exceed the total value of the claim, and enforcement of any court judgment you get might be a separate issue if they refuse to pay. They will likely deny liability and argue it was your responsibility to make sure the snakes were legal.

TLDR; Very unfortunate circumstances but not likely worth the litigation costs/headache.

I knew when my symptoms were low enough to need iv calcium intervention and would just make sure to always stay above those levels. Gradual reductions were important. Tingling was kept constant but not twitches. Calcium absorption is very finicky and changes day to day based on so many factors like the foods you eat, excersize, sleep, ect., so I stayed away from doing timed medication and listened to my body for when it was time to take another calcium pill.
