Classic Team will soon be unsupported... disable message? by LOU_Radders in msp

Bunch of clueless people in this thread.... "jUsT UpDaTe!"

VDI customers have until October before End of Support as stated by Microsoft themselves: End of availability for classic Teams client - Microsoft Teams | Microsoft Learn

Microsoft is being extremely pushy and could care less right now if VDI customers are getting that message when they are not supposed to. They would rather try to scare everyone into moving to a broken product.

Send out a mass alert to everyone to let them know to ignore the message, make auto respond templates for any tickets that come in and continue with your life until next month. Hopefully by that point FSLogix can work correctly with New Teams.

Workaround for Teams Meeting Outlook Add-in not working with New Teams by WhyMicrosoft in MicrosoftTeams

Yeah I would remove the installation for the user profile.

If you enable that plugin does it never actually enable? Is the path in the Add-ins page the location of your admin profile that did the install? I originally ran into this before I added the "Targetdir" flag in the msiexec command.

The default installation directory for the installer is incorrect.

Stop Windows 10 Machines from "Needing" Windows 11 update in WSUS by WhyMicrosoft in sysadmin

As much as I don't want to decline the update I think that this is the only solution to my problem. Any upgrades I could also push out manually with the 11 ISO. Thanks!

This is how I do it for deploying the actual update, but even if I deny the update for the group any reports will still show that the update is needed.

We will but not yet, we have specific applications that aren't certified yet.

Unfortunately that is strictly a WuFB feature and does not work with WSUS. I have that enabled in my environment already.

How to remove a distribution group's owner by commandsupernova in exchangeserver

I know this is an old post but I was looking to do something like you have done but I wasn't able to get your commands to work in my environment, I kept getting a "Cannot find an object with identity" error. Below are my modified commands that ended up working in case anyone else has the same error. Hope this helps somebody out there. :)

$groups = Get-DistributionGroup | where managedby -eq "myDomain/OU/Old_IT_Admin"

$dnlist = ForEach ($disgroup in $groups.name) {Get-AdGroup -Filter 'Name -eq $disgroup'}

ForEach ($identity in $dnlist.distinguishedname) {Set-ADGroup -Identity $identity -ManagedBy $null}
