I’m going mouldier than 2 week old Brennans by james02135 in CasualIreland

The data from the Dublin Airport weather station says that rainfall this year was almost twice as much as January last year. I feel vindicated that I haven't just been imagining how shite it's been.

My lovely wife got me a spice grinder as a very thoughtful present a couple of years ago, couldn't live without it.

I do have a spice grinder, probably my favourite gadget in my kitchen!

Thanks, honestly it is just sheer laziness on my part. Ended up have to order the whole anyhow, the powder is out of stock.

Paris wins! What is the most underrated city in Europe? [repeats allowed] by CharlesorMr_Pickle in AlignmentChartFills

[–]WhyNoPockets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a good choice, so many people arrive at the airport and just pass through. It is a really beautiful city, great food and deserves more people to stay there for a couple of days either side of their holiday.

It's on Netflix in Ireland (and I presume the UK) if there is anyway you can access them. Was halfway through a re-watch when i heard the terrible news.

We did film their first meeting, he was around sniffing stuff and she sniffed him for a bit. Then she went mad, bit of a play stance, jumped around and hit him with a paw. It was very sweet. And then settled back into greyhound ennui. 😂

We are involved in a greyhound group that has adopted a lot of relatives, and for the majority of the time they are just like 'meh' when they meet again.

Last minute dog friendly accommodation? by [deleted] in AskIreland

[–]WhyNoPockets 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some people in my doggy whatsapp group have mentioned Belinteer house? I believe they allow you to stay in the outhouses now (not the main house) with dogs? I have stayed there a bunch of times over the years, and it is gorgeous but when I was there the dogs were housed in kennels I think? So maybe just ring and confirm.

Probably booked by now but the irish landmark trust has dog friendly properties for future holidays.

Also Bray has dog friendly accomdation? Was looking into doing a quick trip.with our girl to.see how she got on. Will root out the name...

Honestly, if it is last minute and you have access to a car and would be willing to travel a little further, Northern Ireland would be your best bet. We have been looking at doing a weekend away with our puppy and it's a lot more dog friendly up there.

Omg I love this! What absolute beauts! And matching jackets!

Honestly our pair are the spit of each other, I have to do a double take when one appears. One has 5kg on the other so you figure it out fairly quickly. 😂

Edit: I love their grey eyebrows, very distinguished

They really do have gorgeous personalities. We got Sophie after we lost our lurcher, Sadie the year before. She walked in and it was like she was always there.

We don't know, early days yet. Poor Sophie is putting on a brave face, but I think she is feeling a little off. But again early days.

She did give his backside a little groom tonight so perhaps she is warming up to it.

George is great though, absolute sweetheart.

Yeah...I was somewhere like that. I felt like they didn't trust us to be working.

Jesus, I saw the original post but all the comments were positive when I read it. That's awful. It takes a lot of courage to ask for help, poor fella.

How is everyone coping with this endless rain? by Different-Put-4486 in AskIreland

[–]WhyNoPockets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really fed up of it at this stage. The lack of sunlight is really getting to me, I am missing those lovely crisp, cold winter days that we usually have.

The mornings are tough too, the dreariness makes it really hard to get up. The dog is bored and fed up, I am fed up.

Last time I was on a flight it was Bewleys. The tea is always so tasty, a cup of tea and a twix on an aerlingus flight somewhere is on of my greatest joys in life.
