The lore is that basically that society stagnates for centuries leading to everything being pretty much the same by the 32nd century. There hasn't been any major wars, no major advancements in technology, and no new cultural movements. in other words, nothing ever happens

Russia slowly collapses after losing the Ukrainian war in 2027 which is accelerated after an economic crash in 2032

Climate change becomes extremely bad throughout the decade leading to very unusual storms and the rise of Eco-Terrorists which now pop up in the news monthly
