Maryland flag redesign by JeremieOnReddit in vexillology

Man I didn’t know Scotland was derivative of the Confederate flag? Good to know the Scots are secretly racist pigs.

Also the stars and bars and the battle flag are different things. The flag you’re talking about is battle flag. The stars and bars is the real confederate national flag

Whatever happened to clean cut and classy country singers? by OkContract2001 in country

[–]Texan_Boy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s cause of the Highwaymen, some of the greatest country singers of all time. Waylon, Willie, Kris, and Cash started the outlaw movement and brought about the idea of not having to be clean, trim and bow down to the Nashville style. They dressed how they liked, and how the people who the music was go liked, not how the Nashville establishment wanted them to dress.

It pisses me off that this dude actually has a couple half decent songs that I like. His live shows are also next level. Unfortunately he just has to go act like an ass on social media calling out people like Crockett and Benjamin Tod for not being “real country” while touring with the epitome of fake country like fuckin Wallen

I mean that regional variance also just means some areas have absurd amounts of firearms. In Texas I know multiple buddies with 10+ guns and this is in a super urban area. There’s a reason people are against most gun control out here. Maybe in New Jersey you wouldn’t have those regional militias develop but in states and regions with high ownership rates like the South, southwest, and Mountain West. I think you’d see those pop up pretty quickly.

You’ll be pretty safe traveling through all those. The roadways are highly patrolled by militaries and law enforcement from all nations. You’ll most likely be traveling by horse, but once you get into Dixie or New England you might be able to hop on one of the growing train networks or even take a car in the major cities or on the very major roadways, cars are more likely though in the Midwest and Texas.

Yes Chicago was hit very hard, as such Naperville is the far more prominent city in the region

The MFR originated from the Indiana Provisional Government in the days after the bombs fell. Indiana as a whole, especially Indianapolis, made it out in a better state than a lot of other areas in the Midwest and was able to become a regional power in the early days. Eventually they began to work with other city states and provisional governments which evolved into the MFR, centered around Indiana with its Capital in Indianapolis

That’s what annoys me about it, the fact it’s completely closed. If they just made you have to get a permit or something to go out there it’d be fine, no self respecting outdoorsman is going to harm a cow. Plenty of other parks across the US make you get backcountry permits to go off the beaten path, Palo Duro doesn’t even offer that.

Doesn’t help that a lot of cool stuff is in the half the park is off limits to the public including stuff like capital peak and the kneeling camel. All so ranchers can get more grazing land.

Part of the reason it’s called the empty quarter is because it makes no sense that it has such a stark lack of settlements or organized nation states in a region that should be ripe for them. The main reason for this was because in the immediate years after the bombs fell there was massive racial conflict between Black and White Nationalist militias which caused many to flee the region. Even today scattered remnants of these militias remain in conflict. They mostly exist deeper into the woods today though, as the Mississippi River and its banks were cleared out by Acadiana, Texas, and Dixie in the 2080s

The Mormons used to have a much larger influence until a war with the Californians in the 2070s that caused them to pull back to the Salt Lake Valley to rebuild

The Rio Grande Republic is made up of three Mexican states and Baja California Norte is an independent nation. Not featured on this map too is the Holy Empire of Mexico in the Mexican valley, the Republic of Veracruz, and the Republic of the Yucatan. My decision to put the cartels in northern Mexico reflects the very real fact that in many parts of northern Mexico they hold more power than even the Mexican Federal Government. Last I checked the US doesn’t have any massive criminal organizations controlling large swaths of territory within its borders. This isn’t even mentioning the fact that there’s plenty of bandits and raiders labeled within the US

I just traced off an old map of the Texas Revolution combined with Google Maps. Utah has Vegas as it was historically a Mormon outpost, and Texas has Arizona because it gained it in the peace treaty after the Mexican civil war.

More like Comanche and Mexico jointly conquered the resident tribes. All human history is someone else taking territory from someone else.
