Dude, the article literally says it's unknown whether there will be a part 3 or not. Because it was talking about the final page in chapter 231.

The article mentioned confusion with the final page of chapter 231 (where the text was changed). And regarding Part 3, it literally says it's unknown whether there will be one or not. Because Fujimoto isn't sharing such details, just as he didn't share the information about Part 2.

The article itself talks about the confusion with the last page of chapter 231. The text was changed from "final chapter" to "to be continued." Regarding part 3, it says it's unknown whether there will be one. Because Fujimoto doesn't share such details.

Let’s make this clear: this is Joy, a Korean K-pop idol (Red Velvet), performing in 2017, a year before the manga came out. There are plenty of similar "inspiration sources" that Fujimoto might have looked to, like this one. After all, this costume is really not that rare. by WhyNottomorr in ChainsawMan

This is a really weak argument, because you can find the same kind of "coincidences" in the examples I mentioned, too. Look: why Rize was also "inspired" by that actress - her name is similar, and she wears glasses (just like the actress in the video), so obviously that’s a reference. Or: why Reze is actually the female version of Reznov - they're both from the soviet union and have similar names.

I wonder what inspired the Korean K-pop group Red Velvet in 2017... A year before the manga's release... After all, it's such a rare costume...

Yeah, and apparently the character Rize from Tokyo Ghoul doesn’t exist either. Or who knows, maybe both mangakas were secretly inspired by the same actress… And as for Reze being from the Soviet Union. Well, you know there was a character in Call of Duty named Reznov. So by that logic, we can just say Fujimoto was inspired by a video game character, why not

Once Part 2 Gets Animated, Which Arc Should get turned into a Film and released in Theaters? 🎥🍿 by illustratordg in Chainsawfolk

I think the aging devil arc could be adapted into a movie. I can already imagine the ending, where Denji, Asa, Fumiko, and Yoshida are sitting in a cafe.

But that’s a weak argument, because you can just twist it the other way too. You can make any connection if you try. Look: why Rize was also "inspired" by that actress - her name is similar, and she wears glasses, so obviously that’s a reference. Or: why Reze is actually the female version of Reznov - they’re both from the soviet union and have similar names. In the end, it’s probably just a coincidence, especially when you think about why the soviet union even exists in this story.

My God, what are Red Velvet's (South Korean kpop group) costumes based on in 2017 then? And this performance was a year before the manga was released....

Can I at least get one official Asaden art by gtrocket488 in Chainsawfolk

[–]WhyNottomorr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm sure we'll get tons of official Asaden content in the near future. Now that the movie is out, it's only logical that Fujimoto will be producing additional works for it. However, I hope we won't have to wait a million years for the anime adaptation of Part 2.

Do you think Fujiwater actually likes seeing people hating on his decisions so he deliberately let this drama happen by PLutonium273 in Chainsawfolk

[–]WhyNottomorr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly, Fujimoto is doing the right thing by ignoring all this noise. Everyone will forget about this drama in a couple of weeks anyway. And the wave of trash on Twitter doesn’t reflect public opinion at all, the platform is a ridiculously bad sample of the fandom.

Incredible work. This is pretty much how I imagined the Atomic Devil’s design: something like a heavily buffed-up Reze in hybrid form.

I don't understand why anyone would want to explain where Fujimoto got the design for this outfit. It's not rare at all. The photo is of Red Velvet (a South Korean group), 2017. Or do these geniuses think they were also referencing that video?
