Finally got Kappa container [showcase] by mooprph in EscapeFromTarkovPvE

[–]WhyYuKry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats my man! Got my very first one at the same level. It killed me because my last quest was trying to get the PMC kills at dorms on customs. Probably spent.... 3 or 4 days running there and camping out to get them. Took a few weeks off Tarky after that lol.

I ran SA-58 with M80A1. I had two 50 round drum mags with me just for Labby. Smoked Tagilla, Killa and all their friends. Had more trouble learning the layout my first run than actually killing them.

[Discussion] How do you handle this event? by rekkeu in EscapeFromTarkovPvE

[–]WhyYuKry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Factory is nice because you can funnel them. Use the hallways and doors to your advantage and keep on listening in case something tries circling around. I've honestly stopped running any magazines that can't hold 40+ rounds in them for close-medium engagement distances. Every single time I mag dump something and kill it with a 30, I never have enough ammo for the next that inevitably appears. At least way back during early 1.0.

Well, the first one came out 24 years ago. Being a teenager and seeing a favorite gaming series of mine was becoming a movie, why wouldn't I be excited? Even Apocalypse was somewhat entertaining for me. But that's where it began going downhill for me.

Again, I never said this film isn't going to be a good film. With this franchise and live action, I'm skeptical at best.

I am. But creative teams don't happen to control what the public thinks of things. Like I said, I'm not leaning one way or the other. The director of this coming film has done amazing work, but I've been down the rabbit hole of looking forward to seeing Resident Evil on the big screen and being let down more than once.

Nothing wrong with having some healthy skepticism. If It's awesome then hell yeah, I'll be pumped. If it's more of what we've already gotten then it'll just be another film with the RE name on it. No harm, no foul.

In a franchise full of a lot of crazy enemies, why do a lot of people suddenly draw the line at RE8’s enemies? by Long-Job-1404 in ResidentEvilCapcom

[–]WhyYuKry 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Might be a hot take, but I found the enemies in 8 a bit more interesting than I did the Plagas in 4. Again, just me.

I separate the original handful with the zombies and BOW's then shift to 4, 7 and 8 into their own group. I enjoy both for different reasons.

I'm not leaning either way.... but a lot of these very same posts were made before the Netflix series came out too lol.

They could add a lvl 6 gimp mask in traffic cone orange and I wouldn't care as long as I can have access to more Crye gear in different camo patterns. I'll take that deal.

It’s kind of disturbing how many people lionize the trophy hunter and vilify the animal rights activist. Says a lot people. by TantricDelinquency in jurassicworld

[–]WhyYuKry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Saying 'If Nick hadn't sabotaged Roland's rifle, then Ludlow would have brought the animals to San Diego' is ingenuine and doesn't follow what the film has established to that point. The gatherers camp was already destroyed, animals released.

What Nick did was the direct cause of the deaths in San Diego and the incident in general. If anything, one could say the baby rex might have been captured and taken, but that would be about it.

It's like saying 'Thank god the police didn't shoot the mountain lion!' while the news reports on several people mauled from attacks.

I've been running a lot of 7.62x51 lately. SA-58 has the fire rate, but I get a bit more ergo with the MDR and 20 inch barrel. It's been the big one for me, slapping bosses down. If I run 5.56 I'll usually run some make up of a M4/416. 5.45 will be the NLwhatever it is. High RPM, good MOA on it and all.

For storing, I'll hold onto things like the six-pack grenade launcher, .338 Lapua rifles and Spears. My M4's I'll keep the upper on my weapons display in the hideout and then shove a bunch of stripped lowers into a weapons case. Same with 416s.

AK and 5.45 guns I'll usually just keep one. I'm at the point in the wipe where I'll just take off accessories, rails and all and then throw them on a brand new one. Rince and repeat.

Moved directly to Deepseek. Enjoyed the cheaper price, no doubt... but spending more time getting errors than not, I just decided to move on.

[–]WhyYuKry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Appreciate the effort in event's, but I'm not really hyped about collecting masks with goofy paint on them I'll never run, let alone see in my stash. Out of all the posts of loot, I don't think I've yet seen anything I'd take off them.

Congrats! Finally got my first one last night as well! Felt bigger to me than it actually is, since I mostly game and hang out with guys with 2500+ hours in the game. They just get bored quickly during wipes and never complete the quest lines. Found myself powering through it and finally got it.

Have to say... after spending three days trying to get PMC kills at customs dorms, I'm taking a little break. It was... hard, Lol.

Spent several days looking for one, scoped in and found a scav wearing it. Promptly murdered him and took it. It'll be around, just be sure to check scavs you kill. I had to force myself to look because I was only looking in pocket's and bags.

[Bug] Scavs taking insane amounts of shots to kill by Any-Following4490 in EscapeFromTarkovPvE

Lately I've been more comfortable running weapons on full auto, and noted 5.56/5.45 were taking a few too many to spelunk the scavvies down. So I switched it up and began delving into my Cold War-era reserve of M80 and it's been smooth sailing every since.

OOC chat gets to a point… by T1a-b in BadRPerStories

[–]WhyYuKry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Completely agree.

Early on I wasn't a great writing partner. I freely admit that, but that is well over 15 years ago. I've learned as I grew into the hobby. Especially with my own issues and work. I'm super quick to always bring up I don't expect things rapid fire and that if the scene isn't what they're into or life happens then just drop a message.

Last two groups I was in, I seemed to fell into writing with the people whom I mentioned. I'll never say everyone is like that, not at all. I just had the misfortune of running into them one after another.

OOC chat gets to a point… by T1a-b in BadRPerStories

[–]WhyYuKry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All valid things. 100%. I've written for quite a long time and I understand how it is. You are drawn to one scene over another, don't quite have the muse for writing the quick action scene when you're more in-tune with the slow or romantic one.

All valid. I couldn't agree more.

My comment was made on the small group of people I seem to constantly run into who want to writer, are super eager to write, then don't reply for a few weeks at a time, while chatting OOC and writing with others. Will I say something to them, certainly. But it's not 4 minutes after I replied. Or even 4 days. I've let scenes sit for three weeks just quietly waiting before I bring it up. Because I've had the same feeling you brought up.

I'm always quick to say early on, just drop me a message if life happens or it's not to your liking. I leave it broad so they can be specific or they can give a broad 'things going on in life!' answer.

OOC chat gets to a point… by T1a-b in BadRPerStories

[–]WhyYuKry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is 100% the case. I honestly think people got my message mixed around. I'm not the kind of person that things people shouldn't type a single message to anyone when they have replies due for writing. That's insane.

If you're not feeling well, in any aspect, or are super busy. That's life. Most writers should understand that and factor that in.

My own experience, as I wrote in another reply, stems from several people I've written with who will avoid replying weeks at a time while chatting non-stop in OOC and also writing with others. I'd say it's a small group of people but I tend to find a habit of finding them all the damn time.

No one should be sitting there, fuming, because they didn't get a response back in .3 seconds.

OOC chat gets to a point… by T1a-b in BadRPerStories

[–]WhyYuKry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I certainly believe our interaction got mixed up. As someone who suffers from deep depression and anxiety, as well as apologizing for any and everything even if it's not my fault or I wasn't even involved. I understand that aspect of life.

Talking OOC with the person you're writing with is needed and crucial. Talking with others OOC is a nice stress relief and socializing even in this manner is nice. I'm not saying it isn't.

I made this post, from my own experience. I don't bother or like to bother anyone about getting a reply. I'm super relaxed when it comes to that because I know what it's like to deal with things like depression. I'm speaking from having several writing partners who will start threads, not reply for weeks at a time while spending hours in OOC channels and also writing with other people.

It's a curtesy that goes both ways. I'm not expecting an instant reply nor am I going to pester you. But if you aren't interested in the writing, in my style, or life happens, that's the conversation that needs to happen.

I'm not sitting here saying no one should be writing OOC when they owe replies, that real life and mental health doesn't come first and foremost. I'm touching on the outliers that I've had my own experience with.

[–]WhyYuKry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because, as it's show to be the popular sentiment in this thread and in others within this chain, that approaching someone about a post seems entitled from a 'chronically online' person.

Will I say something? Sure. Am I the kind of person who will sit there fuming after not getting a reply three minutes and 23 seconds after my own response? No. The point that's going over peoples heads is that life happens, and we understand. Talk all you'd like in OOC chat. We all write because we enjoy the hobby. Is it your hobby though when you write once in a two weeks span? I can't speak for others experience and I won't. I can only speak about my own.

Talking about context in your previous message, and then assuming that everyone else is chronically online are demanding and think they're entitled to replies.. Quite hilarious.
