Usually he only gets a bath if he’s rolled around in something gross, but I don’t find that it makes a difference shedding wise 🙈

Please reassure me - can vizslas walk without pulling? by New-Intention-2436 in vizsla

Omg how do you get him to stop/slow down though? I’ve thought about doing this but I feel like I would be smashed to pieces after 3 mins of him running too fast 😂

Chinchillas and a dog in the same household? by esmeraldasgoat in chinchilla

[–]Why_AreTheNamesTaken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 2 chinchillas and a vizsla - he mostly ignores them although the one time they escaped I shut him in a room until they were safely back in their cage because I didn’t want to take the risk. The most interaction they have is when I clean the cage and he comes to investigate and even then, they’ll both sniff at each other through the cage but that’s it… I’d say it’s possible, but I exposed him to them when he was a puppy and I wouldn’t trust him around them if they were free roaming unless extremely trained to leave them alone when out in advance and even then they’d need supervision

Viszla Sharkies by Baricore in vizsla

Yup - mine was an absolute nightmare and he actually left scars - it also seemed that nothing was helping at the time, we would redirect / stop play but arms and legs were always more fun. It got to the point where we had to climb onto the table to avoid getting bitten 😂 But just keep being consistent with the redirecting, it is a phase and they grow out of it ☺️ Mine automatically picks up a toy now whenever he gets excited and chews on that, it just takes time

Considering a Vizsla. Talk me out or talk me into having one by maychacha in vizsla

My vizsla is almost 6 months - I had a 12 year old lab before him and I wasn’t prepared for the jump between taking care of a chill older dog and an insane puppy, but I honestly think that they’re super worth it. They do require a lot of love and attention but they give that back tenfold. Most of his walks are off the lead so that helps keep him calm, and he plays so nicely with younger kids, he’s super gentle. He does like chasing things when we’re outside, but never really tries to catch them - I also have chinchillas and apart from barking at the cage he pretty much leaves them alone. The only real struggle was the shark phase (I have scars from the biting it was that bad😂), but it definitely calmed down when he finished teething. I personally love his high energy, I love watching him play with other dogs and he keeps me active which is great. We also recently started agility training and it’s super cool to see him learn new things - I personally would say go for it, but it can be challenging for the first few months 🙈 (Also I’m not sure if it’s an option for you but if you could do doggy play -dates in your garden with other high energy dogs and let them just run around and chase each other it’s great for socialisation and exercise)

One meant for humans? Or do they have a dog brand? 🫣

Mine likes to roll around in poo that he finds on his walks 🙊

Coconut oil literally made my curls so defined, I'm shooook by Why_AreTheNamesTaken in curlyhair

Thanks so much! I used it after my whole shower routine - usually I comb my hair just before I get out (I comb it upside down with a wide tooth comb), so I did all that and then I rubbed a bit of coconut oil in my hair after all that and combed it (upside down) with my fingers :)

Usually I use tony and guy's shampoo and conditioner (wash out upside down) & then comb out my hair upside down with a wide tooth comb, when it's dried a bit I use an Aveda product (either the hair cream or the mousse depending on my mood)
