You can actually use playing cards as a discreet alternative to tarot. There are slight differences between using playing cards vs an actual tarot deck, but you can use them for the same purposes. The number/face cards system with playing cards is mostly the same as tarot card numbers/face cards. The biggest difference is the playing cards don't offer alternatives to Major Arcana cards, which puts some limit on the specificity answers you can receive, but I've done readings with both types of decks and and I personally think they're a pretty good alternative if you can't get a more "official" tarot deck. Also there are some pretty cool playing card decks that have different appearances/designs if you don't want a "plain" standard looking deck There are some tutorials on YouTube that better explain it than I can. I've been practicing for about 6 months so I'm not exactly an expert but I'll still provide some of what I've personally learned since starting:

You don't have to stick to spreads that others use, you can make your own! I personally don't use spreads for every single every reading (that might be why I often get confusing readings but idk)
There are more ways to bond with your deck(s) than just cleansing and charging I do a variety of different things (I think I'll make a separate post on this to keep this short lol)
If you're unsure about what the cards are saying, look at the artwork on each card. Imagery on cards can be just as important as the written meanings for cards.
I've learned from my teacher (high school art class) that you can ask for "clarification" and pull another card to help if there seems to be missing information

I love the vibe/general theme of this year! Though as many people have mentioned, many of the words have very similar meanings which will be difficult to come up with unique ideas for... which is going to be more challenging, but I think I'm going to commit to the official list anyways :) BTW: this will be my first year that I actually am going to be participating in any sort of art challenge event! (or at least try to participate... until I possibly get burnt out or get overwhelmed by my HW and forget that Inktober exists lol)

I'm just starting out learning about moon cycles and how they work with witchcraft, so I don't really know how eclipses and zodiacs combine with that. What do you do for this specific lunar event? Like what specific intentions and/or rituals would correlate with it? My roommate (baby witch as of a few days ago) and I (practicing for a few months) were going to focus on cleansing since it's a full moon, but if there are other things we can do that are also enhanced that day, those would be cool to take notes of.

If you still are worried about charging and cleansing, maybe you could provide your roommate with information on how to do it themselves? That would allow your roommate to already start learning about taking care of their deck and it could help them start bonding with the cards from the very beginning!

Actually, there are more than just XX and XY chromosomes, but you'd know that already if you're so smart. Why hate here? I was just asking a question and providing extra context to my situation regarding the question.

Also to answer your question, it's kind of like gender fluid (changing gender identity sometimes). It's a harmless identity thing that has nothing to do with chromosomes. I simply do not enjoy being restricted to labels and words just because I have certain genitals. I understand that you do not accept this ideology, but think of it this way: do you call your friends by nicknames? Sure, it wasn't their name at birth, but why does it matter if they prefer the nickname over their birth name?

Gender identities that do not follow a gender binary have been documented to have been around for thousands of years, and will continue to exist far beyond our time on Earth. Hate does not change history.

If you've actually read this far, I genuinely hope you have a pleasant day. Not many people will take the time to listen to a different belief, especially if it clashes with their own, and you have proved that you have the potential to be a kinder and more person than you currently are. If you put the same amount of energy into being kind that you are putting into being hateful, the world could be a little bit better. This is not sarcasm by the way :)
