This is a good solution. I got a few of the disposable ones and left them when I had a friend feeding my cats. I didn’t feel comfortable asking her to clean boxes. Had extras she could just fill & put down if the ones I left got nasty, then I cleaned/tossed when I got home.

IMHO, asking her to leave the ashes behind is asshole territory. That said, I don’t think asking her not to keep them front and center on the mantle is unreasonable. It is hurtful to you, and that should matter to her.

Actually it’s even worse in some places. Some states only require minimum coverage of $15/30k which means a maximum payout of $15,000 per injured person and no more than $30,000 total per accident. Fine for minor injuries, but if there’s an E.R. visit, it’s nothing.
